What a nightmare of a season. The entire opening day rotation is on the IL, Strider came back but isn't anything special, the bullpen is a disaster. And now Acuna plays a meaningless game with leg discomfort, and ends up leaving the game with Achilles "tightness". Going to the 10 day IL and going to be evaluated tomorrow. Really hope it's not torn.

Braves only traded Montero, held onto Ozuna and Iglesias. Seems strange but maybe the offers were really bad. I would have thought you could have gotten something interesting. Now playing the Reds and scored 8 runs in the top of the 8th. Gave up 8 runs in the bottom of the 8th without recording an out. Such has the Braves season gone.

On a side note the Twins are down to 17 players on their roster after all of the trades today.

Sad news related to a member of the 21 World Series team. Terrance Gore passed away at the age of 34 after what was called a routine medical procedure. He won three rings total which is really impressive for a guy who got less than 100 career ABs.

Season starts tonight. Been a busy spring. Lots of starting pitching injuries already. There is now BravesVision to watch the Braves on if you are in market. Profar suspended for the year. Heim and Dom Smith make the team.
I know it's just one game…but it's about as good of a start as you could script! 100% better than last year. Let's keep it going!

These West coast games are killing me...I can't make it very far into them and just have to check the box score the next morning.
Nice win against the Angels last night, which included a little spat between Reynaldo Lopez and Former Brave (World Series MVP) Jorge Soler, ha! Benches cleared, punches were thrown, Manager Walt Weiss even tackled Soler. I don't remember the last time a Braves team was involved in a brawl???

Braves still rolling. The offense has bailed the pitchers out quite a bit, but still looking decent on the mound!
Phillies fire Rob Thompson and promote Don Mattingly whose son is the GM of the Phillies. You can expect the Phillies to start throwing at Acuna when we plan again.

Took 2 of 3 in LA. Overall a good roadtrip as the Braves haven't always done well on the West Coast. Losing the series to Seattle was the only series loss this year so far. Lost both Ted Turner and Bobby Cox recently. Acuna to the IL but could be back right at 10 days. Strider stuggled in Denver but was much better vs LA. Next series is vs the Cubs to sort out the best record in the NL.
I never realized Bobby was the GM before becoming the field manager.
I've had season tix for the last 5 years or so as part of a doc/lawyer group from West Georgia. I had the tix for the game last night. First home game since Cox and Turner died. Total domination of ChiCAGo. What a game. I got to the game early and our parking lot was already full on a Tuesday.
What a game. Probably my favorite of all time. And I grew up in Atlanta and have been going to Braves games for probably 45 years.

I had tix to the first game of the season. I made the joke that one of the benefits is you actually get to see Acuna play before he gets hurt.
Braves keep rolling! First team to 30 wins. Completely shut down the Cubs offense for 2 games with Sale pitching game 3 tomorrow. Truist looked and sounded like a playoff atmosphere.
Unquestionably the best team in baseball. Already 9 games up on the division. And they're still missing some key pieces. Should be a fun summer!
