The basis of the list is stated above the names. It is people that there is a tiny, minuscule chance of being our head coach next year that fill up much of the discussion here.

Most of the the reasons are obvious. On some, the timing didn't work out before the barriers became too high for it to make any sense for us to hire them.

Thats not a basis. You are hand waving when asked to do a proof. Then you oppose Yo. You can't oppose Yo without choosing an NC-capable coach to suggest for a hire. Go pick one.

I have no idea what you are confused by. What do you think it is a list of? It is a list of people talked about here that are highly unlikely in my opinion to be our head coach next season. Not a highly tricky concept.

And you are asking for "a proof"? "A proof" of what, exactly?

Everyone I would want is apparently unattainable so idk who else is available. Vic, Kim, Adia, Dawn, Geno, Tara, and Kellie. For me that leaves Yo or Amaka Agugua-Hamilton. Who else is there? If we have the money, why not make a statement and pay it for one of the "unattainables".

I understand the lack of appeal of hiring an assistant coach, but Ole Miss' Associate Head Coach Shay Robinson is a name to remember whether it's now or 10 years down the future.

I don't know that we're willing to reset the salary benchmarks for the sport to get any of those non Vic folks.

And for those interested in Molly Miller, GCU lost to NMU Wednesday night in the first round of the NIT.

I don't think it's coach Yo. She just posted something on Instagram thanking her team for an amazing season and letting them know that this is just the start and that they have more work to do. Sounds like she's staying put.

Bjork said we will have to pay more in his town hall with Monaco and Johnson. Only data I have.

Still no word on a new coach for our WBB program. The silence is deafening. I feel like Bjork's style is to cement a candidate early if you use jimbo as the metric. He knew LSU was coming for him and improved his contract before the season even began. Same with Schloss - seems like that was a done deal for a while, too.

The women's NCAA tournament just started. If our next head coach is still playing, we're not going to hear anything.

Bjork is definitely keeping this one close to the vest. I think he has his coach, but they are still playing in the tourney. If it's Yo, we will know by tomorrow latest.

I don't think it's Yo. She posted something the other day basically reinforcing her commitment to OleMiss. Of course, I may be wrong, but it seems like she's staying put.

With regards to Schloss - no clue as to who was actually contacted and who wasn't.

I disagree about nobody caring about WBB and/reporting on it. I think if a big fish was on the line, it would be news. So either that's not the case or it really has been kept on the DL or we don't have anyone yet OR it is KBW.

I think if it is an assistant we would have heard something by now. So my thoughts are it's someone still coaching OR it's KBW. HOWEVER, if it's KBW, why hasn't she been announced yet? From the list you've posted, I could only see one or two potentially even an option…unless we're not considering NIT coaches that are still playing as well.

This is a head scratcher at this point.....if its not someone still playing, then why no announcement?
And shoot, if they are still in the tourney.....wowza!

Maybe we will have some questions answered at tomorrow's townhall with Ross Bjork? And, yes, I agree...it's really strange at this point. With lots of other schools announcing new head coaches, why have we not announced? My guess is that it's a coach tied to another program in the NCAA or NIT. That's all I've got.

Iowa: bluder is a lifer
FGCU: another lifer
Miami: meier has been there for 15 yers
utah: lynne roberts--intriguing candidate. only been there for 5 years. took over a 3-15 team in 2015 and had them ranked a couple of years later. got a contract extension a couple of years ago. she could absolutely get a raise if she ends up here
baylor: not getting collen
gonzaga: fortier is a lifer

kansas: schneider--good coach but nothing really stands out about him ( could be totally wrong about that and if i am let me know)

Creighton's coach is a guy, Jim Flanery.

He doesn't look like the most diverse recruiter. Of course, neither does our roster.

Oh I think I was think of South Dakota's head coach.
