OK. Doing some research it looks like he would cash the a check for whatever place he finishes just like a tour pro. There was even a purse for the championship tournament where these 20 guys qualified. So he got a check there as well.

So if he finished in sole 9th like he's sitting right now, he'd cash $400K.

I used to loathe Bryson too but after his interview on Thurs/Fri where he talked about "being able to do it again" I sensed the redemption story and give him a pass. We all have to grow up sometime.
