Yep. He said he got conservative and played not to lose. Probably true, but Augusta can make you do that. He's being super aggressive today and it's giving him results.

Last week he played well in Tulsa and after one of his rounds he flat said he was using the week to just hit good shots and 'work on some stuff'

I know a lot of guys have that mindset when playing tourneys the 2 weeks leading up to majors but very few are as blunt and honest about it.

I think that's one of the reason I'm drawn to the LIV "bad boys". I think they were smart pulling a lot of the "hated" guys over for clicks in that regard.

I think Brooks has gotten the shaft in that regard for being honest and driven. People love it in Tiger (not that Brooks has the wins he does in any ways), but guys like Bryson and Brooks get killed for being driven and honest and willing to do things a little different. And I find myself rooting for them because of it.

I don't understand this argument. Brooks, Cam, DJ are all top players in the world without a doubt. Dechambeau has struggled the last two years but has had a great tournament so far. The issue is the majority of the tour is made up of a bunch of has beens and guys who couldn't win on the PGA Tour. The better talent is on the PGAT and it's NOT CLOSE.

Got a feeling Brooks is going to make it 4 in a row and sink this longer birdie putt on 5. Hovland looking impressive as well

Whether they want to admit it or not, the LIV tour has helped the PGA golfers. It caused the pga tour the change somewhat and has opened the door for newer players.

Without a doubt. I like the model of having elevated events with larger purses so some tournaments feel bigger than others. They aren't majors but will be more notable wins as the fields will be the strongest in the world. I just wish I could watch Cam and Brooks compete in those.
