How fine do you grind? We have a similar grinder if not exact same, but like French press our coffee comes out weak! Maybe it's just bad coffee I am using

Get a burr grinder... you'll be able to dial in your grind much better and get a much more consistent grind.

This my first burr... it does a great job and is on sale right now.

I initially used the Hario ceramic burr grinder and french presses, but went with the Espro French Press for several years and it seemed to offer a great cup of coffee.

Now that wife and I upgraded to our new home, we had this thing installed, and it's truly incredible. It was incredibly expensive, but with how often we use it and the ease of use and versatility, it's more than worth it to us

I grind it for a few seconds until I can see that there are no large pieces.

Your theory of the beans that you are choosing might be a good place to start.

Scale. Electric kettle. Pour over.

Also a Nespresso machine.

But still would like a good kuerig option for the quick lunch cup.

When I last had an office job, I started off with bringing in beans that I ground that morning and using an electric kettle with a French press.

Then I just bought a nice thermos and brought it in ready brewed.

When I am at a client I just suck it up and drink their swill

I've been a coffee snob for years. About 12 years mostly using a french press, but have done pour over, cold brew and other methods. My wife was a daily Starbucks user and I felt that was a waste of money. So, we got this for Christmas. I love it, have 3-4 espressos/day. Makes a good latte and many other options.

Can't believe I just discovered this thread. I started upping my coffee game last year.

I have an electric kettle and a chemex at work just like at home, but I've also used an Aeropress at work.

I use a hand grinder and get my beans from What's the Buzz here in College Station.

We're looking at buying a house soon so I might upgrade a little bit when we get into a new kitchen with more space.

My home set up comes today. It was pricey, but given my Italian heritage and me and Mrs. blindey's love of a great espresso based drink, it was a long time coming. I'll post pics when I've got everything set up and running. It was insanely expensive but should be completely awesome.
