BK was one of the worst Xs and Os coaches in the history of college basketball. The guy literally didn't know that a player could be fouled before the inbounds pass or how to use a time out. He and Melvin Watkins would tie in a basketball IQ test. The question is whether we owe Stansbury an apology for not honoring our deal to him for pulling BK out of the fire with actual basketball coaching and recruiting talent.

If anyone besides Buzz should be our head coach right now, it is Rick Stansbury. Buzz is much less likely to get us on NCAA probation and just as good of a coach.

To his credit the players took over for our most impressive wins. That's not terrible.

I'm glad Kennedy is gone and that we have Buzz, but give Kennedy credit for what he did, because so far Buzz hasn't done **** here. I'm still hopeful but we'll have to improve from this point by a lot to reach Kennedy's accomplishments here.

This is an indictment of the Buzz tenure for the first two seasons.

For a supposedly great coach these first two seasons have been inexcusably bad for what he's being paid

This is a good point. Just because we are all hopeful, that Buzz will get it done doesn't mean we need to turn a blind eye either. That's part of how we ended up with Kennedy for so long.
Personally, I am confident he will have us going to the tourney every year, but I also thought we would make it in year 2.
don't know how much of an excuse covid can be, because every college team was dealt the same hand. Recruiting has to pick up and fill our weak spots, which is something he was known for I thought.

Does his coach of the year award and the way we finished last year mean anything?

Anybody that has followed aggie basketball knew that this would be a 3-4 year process. Of all the major sports programs on campus men's basketball was by far in the worst shape of them all when he took over.

Silly statement.... he got more out of chuck mitchell and nebo then maybe anybody could.

This team was bad and everybody saw that, but no real
off-season killed them. Obviously other teams had that issue as well, but our inexperience combined with lack of talent magnified it.

I'm incredibly disappointed in Buzz and this sorry excuse for a men's basketball team, but at least Buzz knows we deserve better. BK is used to failure, makes terrible excuses, and doesn't seem to care how bad the team has been playing. I still think firing BK was the right call since there wasn't much hope that we would get better.

When an opponent is losing, you don't lend him a hand, after all...

Try actually responding to what others write not to try and win but to find points that can be used to improve the discussion. Feel free to use stats or diagrams of plays or comparisons to similar teams and then compare and contrast. All can be done with open ended questions that push forward a discussion.

The trolling is the opposite of that.
