Yep. Short of pulling star players in really suspicious ways, there's not much a baseball coach can do to throw a game. But I'm starting to believe they would have if they could have.

I suspect they're doing the due diligence of collecting everything they can to build a compelling story of how dirty/illegal this was. There is some strategic advantage to holding your cards until the right time.

But I wouldn't be shocked if things are leaking that show decisions (mostly off-field) that he's been making for the last month were to serve tu vs A&M. Recruiting visits, transfers, etc. Always wouldn't shock me if some kids on the team were told and asked to come along before we even played our last game.

It really does feel like the coaches, at least, didn't give their best effort during the final series. Challenging obviously wrong calls, using Sarge when up 9-5, we honestly didn't need him, not arguing the strike zone AT ALL (unlike Vitello who obviously gave a ****).

I hope the Karma train comes at Schloss and the other coaches hard.

You can leave an already overworked relief pitcher in the game for just a little too long...

Anyone notice how incredibly thin our lineup was after Montgomery got hurt? Our only possible move was to send a 2nd baseman to CF? And that is the only reason our best hitter in the play-offs, who had sat out the whole year practically and was probably considering transferring, FINALLY got on the field.

He had just enough to win this year. Did not develop anyone and certainly didn't give the bull pen a chance in CWS. He must have been the most surprised person in the world that we were in the Championship.
