Is Tyner still close to the program? How would he even have an opinion about Earley?

I'll say this, Earley has more support to be selected coach that I've ever seen anybody have in any sport at any level and by a wide margin. It's becoming downright surreal...

He runs a baseball academy. I would assume he stays connected with college coaches, especially in Texas.

Yeah. And as much as I would love for him to stay- if he drafts high enough he should go. Take the money and career opportunity while it is there. He can always finish his degree after his playing days are over.

you actually can. There's some very minor paperwork you fill out. If you don't fill it out you're not in the draft. Probably dumb to do that. But there's also interviews, and opportunities to say, "unless I'm drafted here or above, I'm back to school.". And with the teams forfeiting bonus pool money for failing to sign Top 10 round players they don't usually pick guys there unless they know they're ready to go.

Mitchell Traver, Brandon Finnegan, and Jake arrietta have all weighed in with glowing reviews about Schloss.
Jake and Brandon don't hold a ton of water to me..mostly because they are pretty thick skinned dudes that probably yelled back and also were drafted and had successful careers etc.

Mitchell Traver's is a little more surprising. He is a v good human. Also, Quiet Confidence is the best baseball hype video of all time.

I have zero doubt that schloss or PR team reached out to ask for positive words.

I also do not believe Traver would lie. He's right that many teams wouldn't keep him around.

I mean, after 20 years of coaching, I think its pretty reasonable to expect that like at least 3 people would like you.

I get that. But I find it hard to believe that the team chaplain at a religious university is willingly backing and supporting him as a good man after all that has come out in the past week. It could be seen as an endorsement of his morals and character, whoch I can't believe would align with his personal beliefs.

With recent actions as evidence I don't really care what a former player form 10-15 years ago says. Or you know perhaps Schloss isn't the same person he was back then when it was all sunshine and rainbows at TCU.
