That hurts. I never want to be the school the kids don't respect or value every aspect of it including the staff. People say when we are going through these hiring processes they just want to win but character matters.

They've definitely lost the PR battle. Problem is ESPN treats them like royalty. This time seems a little different though because so many big name people are coming out against the way it went down. I don't give a **** that a coach left. It's how he did it and how bad it screwed up a really awesome moment in a bunch of kids lives. Selfish *******.

I mean- he said his texags account was hacked and it wasn't him, but now I'm doubting that. After about mid-March, he started posting that Gavin was 1 and done, leaving TAMU, etc.
Then why follow the coaching staff?


Because maybe he knew the coaching staff would be leaving and knew Gavin would be following after 1 year... ?


Or maybe he isn't following and headed elsewhere?

I think you are right.

But also maybe even more unsettling is that he was actively recruiting on behalf of Tu while still a texas A&M fiduciary. If that isn't a rules infraction or violation of his contract at A&M then it should be

I don't blame any of the players for looking at their options- especially guys on a trajectory towards pro ball. Entering the portal doesn't mean they have to transfer, and if they do I'd put the blame on the spineless liars who couldn't wait til the season was over to abandon their team

Unlike Lossnagle, I actually mean things when I say them. Jace just played through a pulled hamstring and gave everything he could to win for his teammates and school. Then things changed between the tweet and now. Dude is gonna be a top 10 draft pick next year. If you were going into senior year and every prof in your department left the school with 0 warning, you'd probably start looking for other options to make sure you can graduate. I hope we quickly make a strong hire to keep the guys, but this is not on them.
