Listen, I 10000% agree she can change the game with the one swing, but that is sometimes the problem. We don't need to play with the "one swing approach." Fundamental ball play can equally be just as effective, especially when the top of our lineup can't even log a hit this game. We don't need a bomb, we just need base hits.

Mac had a similar issue last year when we hit close to the middle of the season. Her average and ABs tanked because she was so focused on coming up big instead of passing the bat to the next part of the lineup. I think Mya is in a bit of the same jam. She is definitely due for a big hit, but how much can you risk?

I was alluding more to the amount of in the dirt pitches we are swinging at when the lower zone hasn't been called.

While there is certainly some truth in what you are saying, giving up bloopers and balls bouncing off bases on well executed pitches is not exactly what I would consider good luck.

The tension is palpable through the TV. ASU pitcher is strutting around in a zone and our girls seemed defeated.
