I know we all got into a little snit over this the last few days but I think you're going to see more teams than ever pitching off this year. 1s, 2, 3s and maybe even 4s.

I think as a general matter, if you're the underdog it makes sense to take the chance. Asymmetric warfare.

The two factors affecting this that would be specific to the circumstances:

1. How well does your ace recover? If he is a very fast recovery guy, you may not want to hold him back so that you might get innings from him both on day 1 and day 4.
2. Specific match ups among your pitchers and the opposition. Your #2 may figure to be a good matchup against the 1 seed even though he's not on the level of your #1 guy. Also, some teams may like their bullpen against the 1 seed in which case you might hold to your regular rotation in hopes that your best starter can protect the bullpen arms in the first game.

You know you're going old school when you have DeWare Fieldhouse and the Downs Natotorium in the background.

I really didn't think that UK deserved to be in regionals and posted that opinion on this board.

I've since realized that UK is going to advance out of the Morgantown regional, simply to be make earlier posts look silly.

That was my fourth year as a season ticket holder

It was after my junior year. The dorms had closed, and I had to stay at a friend's apartment. I was riding up from Beaumont with my parents listening to Lamar playing someone on KLVI radio. That game went into rain delay before we made it to Brazos County. It would be many more hours for A&M and Yale would play.

Yes, they've completely redone the stadium since then.
