and going back to the first regional at Olsen Field (under the old format)...

the Ags have played very well at home vs. west coast teams

having beaten and/or eliminated the likes of:

UCLA
Washington
Long Beach
Arizona
Cal
Oregon

thru the years in regional or super-regional play at Olsen / Blue Bell

credit to USC

the Trojans are the first west coast team to advance from College Station

The Regionals have been chaotic. Unfortunately, we became the 7th Regional host to get eliminated, joining No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 Georgia Tech, No. 8 Florida, and No. 9 Southern Miss, No. 10 Florida State, and No. 13 Nebraska. Even worse, we got ousted from our regional 15 days after the softball team suffered the exact same fate at home.

7 SEC teams made Supers. We had 2 changes to win 1 game against a team that has not won a regional in 20 years.

Hard to rationalize anything other than - we again blew it when it was placed on a silver platter.

Their regional was a cakewalk, but assuming they beat Oregon in the Super, they'll face either Georgia or Mississippi State. That's a pretty tough first game in Omaha.
