I mean, it was easily visible that he was losing it but the only strategy was to push on with Fresh. Feel bad for him because he did great and was left out there till a blind man listening to the game could know a pitching change was necessary

Fair weather fans man. You don't just replace a guy like schloss and go right back to where you were, especially in the way he left. Early has shown major improvement year 1 to year 2, why can't he get even better? Why are we turning on a guy who lost his best pitchers to injury? This team was going where it was despite the pitching staff, we knew that from the moment the season started especially after sims was done. Unfortunately, there's too many that worship Aggie sports these days to have any sort of reasoning ability. And the acceleration of gambling hasn't helped.

I would argue that A&M has far too may fans who are ok with the constant mediocrity or just above average play in its major men's sports. They prefer to just shower adoration on their players and coaches just because they chose A&M.

We must have a different definition of mediocre Mediocre teams do not finish 3rd in the SEC. Mediocre teams do not host regionals. Not saying you shouldn't have high expectations but when teams fail to meet very high expectations it does not make them mediocre.

The problem is that they finished mediocre which is all that counts. Lost 2/3 of their last series, 0-1 in the SEC tourney and lost twice in a row against the only P4 team in your regional.

Going 4-5 against teams that will make the Supers is not bad. Disappointing considering what could have been but considering the injuries and our pen 4-5 is pretty respectable.

It sucks that we are back to "managing our expectations".
We shouldn't expect CWS runs but once a decade or so

No it wasn't. The reliever was sitting at 95 pitches and had just given up a walk and a single. You go get him

People will refuse to see that the injuries were huge this year. And still we finished 3rd in the SEC. Earley impressed me this year. Yes, there likely will be staff changes this year. But this team has overachieved and fought like hell. Crap way to end the season, but we had a good year.
