Just confirmed - positive with a rapid test. Nothing like zooming Christmas from the bedroom to the livingroom.

Day 7. I feel perfectly fine except for taste and smell, which I think is starting to come back. I can get faint whiffs of my deodorant and my coffee tastes like bitter water instead of just water. It sucks being separated from my wife and son right now. By far, the worst part.

Today is my wife's 30th birthday. Yesterday she had a headache and a slight fever around 100.5. Today she woke up with chills and a slight cough. I asked if she has a sore throat and she said no but it feels a little off. So very mild symptoms. She's a nurse but does not work with Covid patients. Did a test last week and was negative. Not 100% sure she has covid but feeling we should play it safe. We skipped birthday brunch with her family today. Got Christmas Eve plans with my family and Christmas day plans with hers we are probably going to skip to play it safe. Just sucks this happened on her b'day.

The one thing that makes me think it's not covid and could be a sinus infection was she had some green in the tissue when she blew her nose. I'm trying to hope for the best but expect the worst. Any covid testing site is booked full today.

Day 6 here, wife on day 8. Fevers are both gone. Wife can't taste or smell, I can. She is more fatigued than I am, but fortunately, our Oxygen levels are holding up (95-99). Early 40s on age.

I did wake up at 145am and my oxygen level initially was around 91. Did some deep breathing exercises and walked a round a few minutes and it was back up to upper 90s. Highly recommend all people have a pulse oximeter on hand.

I'll still be in isolation my bday. Totally sucks.

I got an appt by constantly hitting refresh. Bt the only thing definitive would be a positive test.

Went to Vegas 19-22 (I know extremely risky/idiotic). 2 days after we get back I have minor congestion and head/ear pressure. Can smell fine and no fever. I feel like taste is a little off, but could be entirely in my head since there is nothing wrong with my smell. Now just trying to figure out if I should cancel Christmas dinner tonight or chalk it up to the normal allergies this time of year.

Don't chalk it up. That's what's causing the spread. I chalked mine up to walking the dog and going from warm to cold temperatures. Get a test before anything social.

I'm thinking I've about kicked this thing to the curb. Today I'm feeling like

Hopefully I'm really back and not back like tu and Ehlinger were after the Sugar Bowl.

I second this. I blew mine off all last week as allergies. My allergies are always bad so I didn't think much of it but I did have an "off" feeling. Unfortunately I didn't know I had it until I ended up laid up under my covers shivering all day Sunday. Luckily everyone in my office has tested negative and the wife and kids are good.

The worst part is contacting all those you exposed. Don't make that # higher than it needs to be.

I'll third this. My brother "chalked it up" to his seasonal grunge, and as a result, 6 of the 9 of us who gathered following my dad's unexpected death got Covid.

I fourth this.

The symptoms that you describe are exactly what I had on days 0 and 1. Tested positive on day 2.

Day 0 - Very mild nasal congestion, partial lost of taste and smell.

Day 1 - still minor nasal congestion that moves into my ears that might. Total loss of taste and smell.

I never had any other symptoms (no fever, cough, aches or fatigue), but I still stayed home for 10 days.

Yep, don't ignore any symptoms. I started with the worst headache I've ever had. Next day felt great but that night another headache. Next day was sinus type crap I always get....then diarrhea.....then fatigue and flu like symptoms with 100 fever. That all occurred over 4 days. Tested positive and then no more fever again. Lost taste/smell on day 8 or so.

Each symptom for me occurred separately. Don't ignore anything. That's how it spreads quickly. And to those you don't want to get it.

They tell you to isolate and communicate through a door.

I'm in the bedroom and we are mostly doing that. We'll see if it works.

But of course there was all the exposure prior to my positive test.

Our daughter stayed in her room and used her own bathroom.
We delivered food on disposable plates and she drank from disposable water bottles (which we don't typically use).
I wore an N95 when delivering food and drinks and when taking out the trash from her doorway, then washed my hands immediately afterward.

Some of that may have been overkill, but something worked. None of the rest of us got it despite riding in a car with her the two days prior to her symptoms and positive test.

When I had it a few weeks ago, thankfully my wife and newborn didn't get it unless they had no symptoms.

As soon as my first symptom hit I isolated myself in the spare bedroom and only went from there, to the guest bathroom, and I used the front door right next to the guest room to go outside and get fresh air. They used the garage to go in and out.

Wife would bring me food and set it by the door and I would wait until she backed away to get it.

The guest door opened to where it looked down our hallway so if we did have to communicate I opened the door and she stood at the end of the hallway to talk.

I only did this as overprecaution for the baby

As soon as I felt off, I quarantined in bedroom for 13 days and only left to get the test. Family never got it.

Day 7 here - feeling fatigued, but trying to stay active and not think about it. I still have taste / smell, but mild symptoms (knock on wood) overall. Wife is on Day 9 and doing well, but she is without taste / smell still. O2 level doing well and encourage anyone that has this, to sleep on your stomach / do deep breath exercises. Just hoping this thing doesn't turn on me.

Day 8 now. After 7 days of very mild symptoms, I've had diarrhea all day. I've also been nauseous, but haven't vomited. At least most of my smell and taste have come back.

Pregnant wife and I are on day 8. She is still lacking smell/taste but feels pretty good other than that. She felt bad with a cough on day 3/4 but turned the corner for the better after. The only thing I have noticed is some minor fatigue and a bit of runny nose a couple days ago. Our toddler who we just assume positive seems to be feeling just fine and keeping us on our toes.

If you get this thing, I can't encourage Rev's vitamin plan enough. So thankful for that so far. Almost done!

The definition of Day: is that a positive test date, date of exposure, date of first symptoms?

My 16 year old son and I didn't isolate. I tried to stay away from him. We didn't hug or share food.

But, we were both in the common areas of the house, including the kitchen and the living room, and we did not wear masks.

He tested negative last week. Didn't get it from me.

The doctor and my occupational nurse counted the first day of symptoms as day 0. So, day 1 was the first day after the onset of symptoms.

My onset was a Thursday, day 10 was a Sunday.

If I had not had any symptoms, i would have isolated for 10 days after my positive test result.

Day 9: Covid free? Diarrhea and nausea from yesterday gone, smell and taste fully back, no congestion for a few days. Looking forward to joining the family again soon.

Wife started getting sick Tuesday, I started getting sick Thursday morning. She went in and tested positive, so I'm assuming I am as well since I have all the same symptoms. Not the way we wanted to spend our Christmas, especially having a 2 year old and almost 5 year old.

I'm 3 days feeling pretty much 100% now but now my 7 year old son has got a bit of a runny nose and maybe slight congestion going on. Has anyone had a little one get it and what did you give them (if anything). Not sure Dr Revs vitamin list would be good for a little one, except maybe in smaller doses. Not sure I'd even be able to get him to take a pill except maybe the little D3 gels.

Day 8 here - woke up really congested (nose) and didn't have any more mucinex last night. Still have a stuffy nose, but I'm downing water. O2 level is slightly dropped from previous days (gotten readings at 95-96), but it's on my radar and I'm watching carefully. My mind is messing with me more than anything, so I started walking circles in the backyard to get my mind off of things. That really helped and will continue to try some exercises to keep my mind off things. Want this damn thing over with.
