otc symptom relief, so something for fever, congestion. Upthread a little are exercises for breathing, that reportedly has helped people.

It may have been discussed in this thread already, but has anyone else had trouble sleeping/staying asleep while having COVID? No matter how exhausted I am, I can never seem to calm my brain enough to sleep and when I do, I wake up every few hours. Also been having wild dreams. Maybe it's just me.

Yep I experienced both. Even after recovering I'm still not sleeping great. It's getting better but still not sleeping as well as I normally do. Also, I have sleep apnea and it's become rather uncomfortable for me to breathe in and out thru the cpap

I'm on day 8 and its the worst day so far. Massive headaches, dehydrated, started coughing. My spox is 95% I've not eaten in several days and I've not been able to sleep at night. The headaches make staying awake during the day difficult.

Take melatonin at night and try Mucinex DM for congestion / coughing. Do the breathing exercises posted on the previous page in this thread, and if you see the O2 drop any more (below 92), I would get support from a perscription or go to the hospital. Do some brisk walking around the house or in your backyard, but you need to stay active. Sleep on your stomach and when you wake up, get active for 15-30 minutes walking and supporting your lungs.

I'm officially 2 weeks from positive test and feel much better. Been going on longer walks every night (not running yet), but about to pick that up in about 1 week. Overall, I feel good, but when I'm tired, I'm tired and need to go to bed.

9 yr old son officially tested negative again today (Thank God!) - so he can go back to school and somehow managed not to catch this around us.

For all those that have it, I'm praying for you! This is mentally / physically exhausting and know that there's another side to this. Be thankful if your symptoms are mild.

For all others, you don't want this. Mask up before you leave the house and remove after getting home. Be patient and wait for the vaccine - getting covid is not worth the risk.

I'm on day 12.

And it still sucks. I'll get to feeling like I'm about well and crash again.

Edit: agree with above. If you can avoid this, do it.

My secretary called me on New Year's Eve to say that she had tested positive We had been working in the office together Monday and Tuesday

Day 1: Friday the 1st.... happy new year! Some body aches and what I thought was a head cold from fishing in the rain New Year's Eve....Nothing out of the ordinary...but I could feel something coming on

Day 2: Saturday I was feeling kind of puny and started getting chills and a low-grade fever in the afternoon... that evening my fever got to about 100 and I had bad congestion and sinus pressure....the Aggie game was making my blood boil also... my wife commented though that I never complain about headaches and I had some pretty bad ones that evening

Day 3: Sunday I felt pretty good, worked in the yard and cleaned up the house from Christmas we wanted to be cautious about sending our kids to school so I drove through a rapid test after lunch and tested positive....Started on Dr. revs cocktail and started tylenol severe cold and flu.... prepped the family for quarantine....That evening was fever up to 100 with chills and bodyaches....very sore throat

Day 4: Monday...Got a prescription for ivermectin and continued with cocktail and Tylenol Cold and flu... Stopped taking melatonin, I think it was messing with my mind.... In the afternoon I felt like my body was being bombarded from sinus pressure, dizziness, chills And bodyaches ...Thankfully no cough...I did feel like I was at a crossroads and it would either get much worse or I had just gotten over the hill... either way, Monday afternoon had a rough patch that was pretty intense...throat killing me

Today woke up after a rough night up-and-down with night sweats, nausea and chills. My wife made scrambled eggs for me and forced down Gatorade.... continued my meds and took a nap.... I woke up from the nap feeling much better and have progressed through this evening feeling like I am on the mend....

My situation has seemed insignificant compared to others but I wanted to pass it along because I've gotten so much help from this thread. Through this, a couple of things I think really helped out, my wife continued to bring me hot tea, propel, water and kept me fed with chicken soup and Jell-O...I forced myself to walk every hour I was awake and worked on my breathing.... a lot of your advice here really did help me out...I can't thank you all enough

Edit to add I'm 48...slender build and O neg blood type

I tested positive Monday. In addition to most of the usual symptoms I have had a high heart rate. Anybody else noticed that? If I'm laying down and still it'll go down to 80s but sitting up it's 115ish and 125 ish walking around.

I was way more focused on O2 than pulse, and mine resting is high anyway (also female). But I've read that is common and something to keep an eye on.

12/29 - Started feeling tired and run down
12/30 - headache and body aches, tested at 12:15. No fever, HR was 79
12/31 - Dr. called and said positive. Ex came and took the kids (negative results today - 1/6). Laid in bed most of the day, just body aches
1/1-1/3 - Headache all day, felt like sinus pressure and sinus infection more than anything else. Body aches started to fade on 1/3. General feeling of tired all the time, some loss of taste and smell. Not much of a fever at all, don't think I ever broke 99.7.
1/4 - woke up feeling better than I have in a few days (maybe it was because I stopped drinking 12/31). Slight headache, not much tase or smell. Moving around the house, became winded easily and a few tired spells.
1/5 & 1/6 - Gradually everything got better, smell and taste coming back. Still have had a very slight dull headache, again, feels like sinus stuff rather than the covid headache.

39 years old and type O something blood, slim/fit condition.

Update since posting.

I got taken to the ER that day (Monday)had low oxygen. Dropped into the mid-80s, started coughing up a little blood. Doc thought i may have an embolism so they ran me through CT scans and such. Turns out I had covid pneumonia. I can't absorb enough oxygen on my own so I'm breathing through a tube. Theyve put me on a covid treatment now and I'm feeling a ton better. Not sure when ill be released from the hospital.

Hang in there man.
Praying for you now.

Ask about the remdesiver and the Antibody treatment. If you can, plank and do what exercises you can. ... assuming the doctors recommend/allow that.

Posted before, but, went the ER on the 12th with a fever of 104.6 and tested positive. I was sent home and told to take Tylenol for fever and aches. For about a week had a pretty high fever even though I was taking Tylenol every 6 hours. Lots of body aches and pains. For a couple days I had numbness in my limbs, but all of my other vitals were fine. I mentioned this to my PCP over the phone and they did not seem to be too concerned at the time. After that passed I had quite a bit of pain in my glutes, hips and legs. Treated with ice packs for 4-5 days. I ran a fever for at least two weeks and am defiantly feeling much better, but I am still quite weak (especially legs), tire easily and have a feeling of being unbalanced.

Spoke with my PCP and they sent me to have Doppler ultrasounds done on my legs yesterday. The only thing they could tell me was they would not be letting me leave if I had a life threatening clot and that my PCP would be calling me with results.

I do have high blood pressure (50 YO F), but that has been under control with medication.

Is anybody else dealing with weakness or balance issues about a month into this? I was never admitted to the hospital.

My PCP, with whom I had a televisit yesterday, said that they are occasionally seeing inflammatory neuropathy as a symptom of COVID-19. Maybe a possibility?

My wife's 11 year old niece in NYC had a post-viral ataxia that made it very difficult to walk last February when Covid was just taking off.

We face timed them one night and her walking pattern looked very much like Guillian Barre Syndrome. This symptoms resolved over a month or so period but she was very unsteady with walking.

Oddly enough she just got re-infected and is now having significant fatigue again. Her walking hasn't been impacted this time, but the fatigue is.

Theyve been giving me remdesvir this week. Today could be discharge date if I can get my O2 above 95 on my own. Im still struggling to hold 91 while on supplemental oxygen. I appreciate the prayers everyone, they certainly help

My experience with being sick all my life has been towards the end I say, "ok, enough of this ****," and I get up and go to work. I get mad, get tough, and get busy living.

My experience with COVID has been that this is a recipe for disaster and it has set me back repeatedly.

Hang in there and let your body work it out along with the meds. Hurrying to get out of the hospital or do anything other than just let your body recover is counter to what needs to happen to heal. Being strong often has more to do with mental than physical challenges, and the length of the battle with this thing wears down both.

I just prayed for your physical and mental strength.

Reading this I'm embarrassed to post, but this virus is crazy.

Had a sinus infection. Headache behind my eyes and green solid phlegm. I am prone to sinus infections. Went to my Doc. He looked up my nose and confirmed sinus infection.

Asked if I wanted a Covid test. Said sure. Came back 6 days later as positive. If I hadn't gone to the Dr I never would have known.

Wife slept in same bad. She's tested negative twice. Daughter tested negative. Both boys already had it with no issues.

This thing is all over the map on how it impacts people. Again it's crazy.

I pray all of y'all heal up quickly and fully.

Just curious what's the avg amount of time to regain taste/smell? Is anyone having long term issues with this? Are there any treatments to regain the senses?

Mine was back in a week or less, I've heard stories of it taking months.

Did hear tho that people who lost taste and smell had better long term immunity / antibodies. I'd have to try and find the article
