Cases are going up everywhere.

It won't be able to be controlled. Too much vaccine refusal. Will just have a bunch of Darwin award winners over the next several months.

Almost all north Texas hospitalizations are unvaccinated now. And I'm okay with that.

It's their decision, it's just unfortunate that so much needless suffering could have been avoided.

Human behavior drove smallpox from existence and has rendered numerous other viral pathogens impotent in the developed world (measles, mumps, German measles, rotavirus, polio, etc.)
One of the great achievements of mankind in the 20th century was gaining some semblance of control over infectious pathogens.

Not sure cases matter much. Delta appears to be far weaker than early strains. Check out the cases and deaths chart for the UK. Massive spike in cases, very little change in deaths.

Yep, instead of arguing about masks and vaccines why don't we spend our time addressing some real policy issues in this country and then actually doing something about it?

It'll be an interesting fall/winter for sure. Kids are already getting wrecked by RSV right now. If the flu and flu like viruses can take hold this winter we may be in for a wild ride. And unfortunately some will use it as a reason to continue lockdowns and mandates.

Continue lockdowns and mandates? Where? Flu and flu-like viruses take hold every year. They will again this year and the next and the next. THE only place I will don my gaiter again will be a plane (have no choice and my doctor as something tells me she will), otherwise I won't even carry it.

In the schools
Since kids can't be vaccinated yet, schools will wa t kids to mask-up and maybe resume with remote learning, which would be extremely unfortunate
We are destroying the development of our children with this crap
Children, especially the young ones, need to be around other children in order to develop socially, mentally and emotionally
Keeping them masked, distanced and learning from home is doing a monumental disservice to our children
Maybe in NY, not in TX.
