The vaccine isn't a force field against infection. It is preventing serious illness. The UK studies clearly illustrate that, given their high case numbers with no dramatic increase in hospitalization. The vaccine is not supposed to eradicate this virus. It's meant to keep people out of the hospital. It's doing that.

Which isn't an issue. The vaccine was never meant to prevent transmission. It was always intended to lower your chances of serious illness and death. It does that, even against the delta virus.

Unvaxed - Cases are going up but hospitalizations and deaths aren't

Vaxed - Hospitalizations and deaths lag cases by a lot.

Unvaxed - Well, it seems a proportionate amount of vaxed people are testing positive.

Vaxed - The vax isn't meant to stop cases. It's meant to keep you out of hospital or dying.

Let's pretend that the 70% vaccinated # is reached.

Reports indicate that vaccinated people still catch (and spread?) Delta.

So then what? What would the world look like if we reached that % vaccinated?



What if - since we are imagining - there are no more daily case counts reported? What would be the worst case scenario if suddenly covid was only reported on weekly? Less?

What people don't understand is that around 50% of us (vax'd or not) would literally rather get covid than make even one more tiny compromise for "keeping people safe"

I am vax'd and was happy to do it but decisions regarding our body/health are 1000% our own (that's what I learned from lefties pre-covid FYI)

There's literally nothing that policy makers are going to be able to do to get some people vax'd and rather that ends with them totally fine in the long run or on life support in ICU - it's their f'king choice

Vaccines are avl to those that want them in the US so it's pretty cut and dry. COVID is over here

The world would be a better place If the type of person whose vaccinated and still worried about COVID would just self isolate for all eternity

It's more of a severe mental health issue than anything at that point

And furthermore, go take a look at the multiple underlying conditions and overall clinical picture of those double vaccinated in the ICU when you take Covid out of the equation. There has been zero medical evidence to date that would suggest this variant is more pathogenic than the ones before it.
