We all make mistakes in life, Nicole chose the wrong school, but 9 months later found her home in maroon and white!
I completely zombied and forgot Nicole was a sip her freshman year until it was mentioned in the interview - makes her win even that much sweeter !!!
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. She found out the inner workings of that program and is leveraging that knowledge to rack up our titles and prevent theirs.taylorswift13_ said:

Kidding aside - so proud of this team. Players and coaches. So happy for Daria to keep it together and dominate - it started to feel like ground hog day in the second but then she prevailed beautifully.
How clutch was Mary? Not her day, playing like a shell of herself to lose doubles and a 6-1 first set and then goes GOAT mode. Nicole could have easily collapsed after that missed volley in the second and run of games. She does what she always does, pulls it together and dominates the 3rd.
Tough losses for Mia and Lexington, but they were both close. I am also confident Lulu wins that 3rd.

RANDOM RAMBILNGS ABOUT TONIGHT
1. Mary likes to make it dramatic for us, even if her win was never in doubt (yes, even after the first set).
2. Lex's second set looked like a true freshman from florida on a team without an indoor facility playing against a rival in a high-profile playoff competition in an indoor facility. (So many of her shots looked just a little outside). That might look like a lot of excuses, but mostly I'm just glad its over and she can put it behind her.
3. Daria - YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Thank you Daria for shutting us up! I was surprised to see Lexington lose tbh. Mia was always going to be a tough match. I believe Lu would have won that 3rd set.

Good day to be an Aggie. Men's basketball win! Softball continues to dominate and we BTHOtu in tennis!
On the Daria front: her game is going to fall when she plays lesser competition, it's just what happens. But when we play elite teams that are deep in the 5 spot, her true level is going to shine. I think we are in a position where we should win matches with doubles and any other singles combination that takes pressure off daria, but when we really need the 5 spot, when the level rises on the other side of the net she will come through.
Daria playing two doubles is a very nice surprise. She's holding her own and I think it's a reason for the quick start in singles!

So tu had the #39 ranked player playing line 6?!?
yes, but she's by no means the 39th best player in the country. Early spring rankings are never accurate, then you throw in the new fall format and it can get more inaccurate. Mia, Lulu, and Lex only played 1 fall college tennis tournament the rest were pro. that's the case with multiple top team's players but tu's 6 had a great fall, winning the texas regional and making the ncaa singles field, something that I think alex could've done had she played those qualifiers.
It was sketchy if we are being honest. Isn't that the same girl that won the ITA regional in Tyler and beat Daria in 3 sets in the semis? Also plays like 1 doubles.

They are a very good team with good depth. Doubles was key and they can't match the Mary / Nicole combo at 1 and 2. Last year we legitimately had 3 of the top 10 players in the country with Carson as well.
It won't be easy in Austin, but I think Mia will turn things around and we get it done again. I feel if we can split 5/6 singles, we are almost impossible to beat. If Daria maintains this level, watch out
