First class is my favorite x-men movie of them all, but that's largely because of Fassbender's job as Magneto and his storyline. Also, great soundtrack.

Sorry, it's an action/comicbook movie.

Makes no sense to get all excited about a soundtrack on a movie like that. I could understand on an artsy movie or something more serious.

It's like getting up in arms about the physics in a comicbook movie not making sense. It's not supposed to.

Simply my opinion, but I don't rail on people(usually) about it. But, after several comments about the trailer's apparent choices, I thought it was hilarious and should point it out.

The movie looks INCREDIBLE. It's on my list of "will see" movies.

This BigRob guy sounds like a real jagoff.

Many film watchers are of persuasion that the soundtrack can make or break a film.

Could you imagine the final standoff scene in Good/Bad/Ugly where the music was different?

Take Luke Skywalker watching the sunset, the music gave us a sense of desperation for adventure. It was the music that conveyed that message.

I could continue down the list, Jaws, Inception, Tron2, even Tarantino.

Nolan stepped up the level production value of "a superhero movie." The music for his trilogy was good-to-great (albeit not iconic).

If Xmen is having to take a serious approach to match their serious budget, making the best 120mins on screen is what they will strive for.

First time I saw the trailer, I could swear that Nixon looked like Bobby Cannavale (Gyp Rossetti from Boardwalk Empire's last season).

From this one screencap, I still can't tell if it is. Imdb doesn't have anyone listed in the role. If it is.....very awesome and unusual choice.

You get it, Bill. Can anyone hear "The Blue Danube" and not think of 2001: A Space Odyssey? Or imagine Gandalf falling from the bridge without that iconic soundtrack? How bout Neo flying into the camera at the end of The Matrix?

Of course they're just silly scifi/action movies.

I like BigRobSA (in other boards), but the music DOES make a movie...comic book or not.

Didn't mean imply that I dislike BigRobSA as a poster. It's just those incredibly narrow-minded point of views - from anyone - that get to me sometimes.

If you think music in these type of movies doesn't matter / isn't worth discussing, I don't even know what to say to that. As has already been noted, MANY - if not a vast MAJORITY - of the best film scores of all time have come from summer blockbusters just like this one. In fact, saying the music doesn't matter in a movie like this is no different than saying the acting/directing/screenwriting doesn't matter either. Where do you draw the line?

I dunno what to think about it. It really is kinda a MEH for me. Looking at this and looking at the Avengers, Ironman, Captain America movies they just seem to be well done compared to this. I am probably going to watch it but i just wish Xmen would go back to Marvel so they can do this right.

and i was a HUGE X-geek way back when and wasn't interested in any of the Avengers stuff so its kinda weird for me to say that

Yes Azazel is Nightcrawler's biological father, and he doesnt have to see where he is going to teleport.



Cool thing with the movies is all the teleporters are animated differently, Nightcrawler has his black/blue smoke, BlackeyedPea disassembles down to the skeleton, Azazel has his flames (demonic).

Captain America was laughable from the first scene. Agent Smith cannot deliver a German-English line without ridicule. Would have been better to have him speak in German with subtitles.

No reason we can't expect serious takes on comic book movies. The Dark Knight changed everything.

Not everyone wants everything dark and serious. The Spiderman movies all sucked balls and made tons of money because they were light and humorous.

They made tons of money because they capitalized on a known brand. They made a billizion dollars because of merchandizing. Cars has made more money from merchandizing than they did on the screen, same could be said with Star Wars.

The full trailer was shown before Thor. I have never seen an audience clap after a trailer.
