This episode seemed to be a bit slow for me. I'm started to get the feeling Molly might do something drastic to reveal the truth. At the end she was acting like she was in the twilight zone.

Malvo was badass in the mob gun killing. I wish they could have shown more of that.

I thought it was an excellent episode. A bit slower perhaps, but excellent.

How many more do we have?

This, and also I spend a lot of time in Minnesota for work, and in the winter every pond or lake is completely frozen and doesn't thaw out until after all the snow is gone. I guess the fish could come from a river, but I thought the reporter on TV said it was a lake. That wouldn't be possible.

Given the events of this show occurring due to subterfuge and manipulation (blood in the shower, locust in the grocery store, etc), explaining raining fish as an act of nature seems like a cop out (unless they give a better explanation later on).

The writers could have very easily just had a sudden hailstorm force the car off the road and not needed fish.

Fish seem to be a theme of some sort in the show. They keep focusing on that poster with the fish, the screensaver the naked guy had had fish on it, and that one episode they focused on those fish in the tank at the restaurant.

Only thing I can think of is the Greek needing to think that it was a curse from God.

Only 2 left. We need more miniseries like this. I wasn't expecting the time jump. Can't wait to see how they wrap it up.

Love this show more with every episode. I was very surprised by the jump, but they set it up well and there's not much they have to fill us in on. I'll be upset if they don't fill us in, but I thought the jump was a fantastic way to focus on the important storyline. I am fascinated by the evolution of Lester. And now that I'm typing this, I see there's only one episode left. That ups the pressure a bit.

So here are my unresolved questions.

-how did Malvo get out of Lester's basement that first night?
-can we assume Lester's brother got locked up like Lester planned?
-wtf was up with the fish storm?
-was Malvo able to get his money from the grocery King?

I'm sure I'm missing some.

No matter what, I LOVED, that they put a couple of shots of Molly in that were complete copies of the movie. Molly by the bed getting dressed and the then them in bed were great nods to the movie.

He was with Billy Bob and the hotties in Vegas.

Anyone else catch the nod (?) to Kill Bill? When BBT is talking to the deaf hitman, he says something along the lines of "When you heal up, if you still feel raw about it come find me". Pretty similar to Uma said to Vivica Fox's daughter in the movie.

I am going to predict that Malvo never gets caught. Maybe he will team up for a future with the deaf guy. At any rate, he is the White Whale of bad guys: ubiquitous, immortal, uncatchable.

One thing about the new episode: Gus and Molly have married and are living...where? Not in the old apartment in Duluth, but in a small house. But where? Molly is still working for Bemidji PD. Gus obviously got fired (or came to his senses and quit) from the Duluth PD after the investigation into the shooting.

Did Gus and Greta move to Bemidji?

I had the same thought, Diet.

My understanding is that the series will not have a second season.

Assuming it gets renewed, it will get a second season, but the plan is for an all new cast and unrelated storyline.

i caught that, but I'm still expecting some more explanation. Even if it's just more people talking about what they were doing at the time or Oliver Platt's character talk about his thought process when he walked up on that scene. Just too weird to throw in and throw away in such a short amount of time.

I think it's just a house in Bemidji. No way Molly lives in house where Vern was murdered (and the house of the murderer).

Nice tie-in to the movie with Molly's maternity police wear. And I just liked the way Hanks said, "mom home?" to Greta - so simple but it said everything.

So I guess this character is over with for the season?

Best show on television right now. That includes this season of Game of Thrones. And I'm a huge thrones fan.
