I saw the first two episodes last night. It's gripping and amazing!!

I plan on starting the series tonight.

I loved the book (which I coincidentally read earlier this year) and am very excited based on what everyone is saying!

Are there really only 10 episodes? Am I missing something. I didn't understand how episode 10 ended.

Man, Ridley Scott really loves Phillip ****, doesn't he?

4 episodes in. Wow.

First show in a long time where there isn't a main character/storyline that I hope gets less screen time. All of them are compelling.

And is it weird that I kind of like Obergruppenfuhrer (sp?) Smith? He's definitely a bad guy, but a respectable one.

I think I'm 3 in. Maybe 4. And I'm with you. I really like him

I finished up watching this past weekend. Great show. I can't wait to see where they go next.

I watched the first two eps a few weeks ago, and crushed through the last 8 this past weekend.

Good show, amazing world they've built, and great character development.

Interested to see where they go for season 2.

Ohh and the acting of Obbergruppenfuhrer, the Trade Minister, the Chief Inspector, and Wegner were terrific.

The Marshall story arc was my least favorite part of the season. I did not like the character at all.

I think the Marshall will have some role to play later on. But, yeah, at least take the gun dummy!

Nope, the Marshall was awesome. He'll be back!

It seems there's some emotional bridge being set up between our(?) reality and their. i.e. the two art works by Frank with that "sadness": the one fake that the rich Japanese woman sensed, and the necklace that trade minister had seemed to be drawn to throughout the episode (likely due to that aura) and at the end used to Sliders to our world (at least mentally). Also my guess is that Julie's mom's sense that her other daughter was still alive was her sensing that in our reality her daughter is alive... although most likely she just BSC.

Yup. Terrible character. Don't know if it was his lines or his acting, but it sucked.



Also, Kito sucks ass. Pretty one dimensional and always with a scowl on his face and a stick up his ass.

So are Mexico and South America part of the Reich? I'm guessing not based on that map in the intro.

I think that he could have been an interesting character, but the acting is terrible and the writing isn't the best. I found it extremely cheesy.

Yeah, there was a cheesiness to it, I agree to that.

Agree 100% on the Marshal. Pretty bad all around. The toothpick made it even worse.

How do you not like Kito? The acting or just the character? The actor is incredible.

I started watching on the recommendation of a friend. It's... ok. There are a lot of plot holes and things that don't make sense.

Just finished it. Damn I hope it gets a second season, I really enjoyed it.

How did you watch the scene where Kido confesses to Trade Minister that he knew about his part in orchestrating the espionage with Wegner to ensure a cold war, and would take it to his grave by performing Sepukku in order to protect the world (or something along those lines), and not instantly feel for the character despite his Gestapo tactics?



The more I think of it, the more the (sub)plot of protecting the world by instigating a Cold War through the smuggling of the "Heisenberg Device" plans sticks out as an incredible story line.
