I think I'm:

1a. Fallout
1b. Ghost Protocol
3. Rogue Nation
4. M:I 3
5. M:I 2
6. M:I

I need to watch Fallout again, can't make the call there on just one viewing but it's right there with Ghost Protocol (which I love).

I don't love M:I 2, but I've got it ahead of the original just because the first feels like such a different film compared to the rest of the series.
I am with many of you that can interchange most of them fairly easily, but I think my order would be:

1a. Fallout
1b. MI3
3a. Rogue Nation
3b. Ghost Protocol
5. MI
6. MI2

When do we start ranking cinematic universes?
i know you used the wink face, but in terms of current franchises, it's probably #3 for me behind the MCU and Star Wars.

i love james bond and think daniel craig is awesome, but especially after Spectre, i'm just more excited about new M:I movies being released than i am bond movies.

This intrigues me. The only two MI movies I've ever seen were the first two.

For me MI2 is easily the worst. I mean it has a Limp Bizkit song in it. That alone makes it the worst.

I have a tough time ranking the rest as substantially different until you get to Fallout, which I feel is the best of the series.

1. Falout

All the rest

6. MI2

Well, I overshot it this time. Looks like $19M. Guess the Meg took a big bite out of MI.

Plus all the people with moviepass who bought tickets for the Meg, but actually saw mission impossible.

$20M estimate now. Wasn't off by much, at least.

Worldwide up to $437M.

saw it there opening weekend - it was great! (though the theater itself was warm.. AC not working as well as it should at the time)

Still pacing well ahead of M:I-2 in daily grosses, and overall.

Unless it really falls off in the next few weeks, it should overtake it as the highest grossing MI movie domestically. ($215M)

Saw this last night at the new Star Cinema Grill in CS, which is a pretty cool venue in the happening Century Square.

Absolutely loved it. The common knowledge that Cruise is doing all of those stunts and that they are real, not CG, really pushes the incredible action scenes over the top. If it's not the best action movie ever, it's in the top few. I don't think that's hyperbole at all.

I also got the whole family to watch all the previous ones (except 2, because we were pressed for time to get them all watched before this weekend), including GP, which I had somehow missed.

Love this series. Hope we can get another classic MI installment from Cruise before he's too old.

Didn't know there was one in College Station but there's been a Star Cinema Grill on the south side of Houston for years now. Looks like they've expanded to a few more Houston locations and the one in CS.

Several Months. They have the best sound and picture in town. The food is not amazing but its good. Better than anything like Alamo Drafthouse though. Seats are fantastic. And its still fairly cheap. 2 tickets for me and the wife are always under 20.

Great to hear. Probably won't be able to check it out for myself until Thanksgiving, but looking forward to it. Thanks.

Just a couple months, but this was my first time to go. The movie experience was very good. Smaller theaters, great seats, great sound. Food was good for a theater. My wife and I were actually thinking we'd go to the bar there for a drink even if we weren't going to a movie. Also, they validate even for just a drink which is nice.

That whole development has a pretty cosmopolitan, upscale vibe for Aggieland.

I guess they finally filled in that huge empty space in front of the Engineering buildings?

Man, that would've been nice when I was a student.

CS has suddenly become a place with a plethora of entertainment options for younger professional types. There are now several upscale boutique hotels and it's tough even keeping up with dining and drinking options. I like to eat out and have several new places I haven't been able to make it to yet.

I was leery about these mixed use places succeeding after seeing a few high rise condos with ground floor retail that haven't really taken off in recent years, but the Century Square development right across from campus seems to have really hit the right mix.

If you haven't been back to campus in a few years that stretch of University Dr looks like a different planet.

Hell, portions of campus probably would barely be recognizable if you haven't been back in the last few years. The MSC, Quad, West Campus, Northside, and the Engineering block has had lots of work done in the last few years/decade.

Truth. I was back for the first time in a while for a game a few years ago and literally felt lost after having lived on campus for 4 years.

Ehhhh, lets not get carried away. Its still CS. Every young professional I know can't wait to get out of here to an actual city.

I also wish they'd quit using the mask trick in every movie, it's just too powerful of a trick. Like how do we know Hunley is really dead and that wasn't just somebody in a Hunley mask? Nothing is believable when there's a possibility that anyone could be someone else.

That's part of the fun of Mission Impossible going all the way back to the TV series. You never know who, at any given moment, is who.

While browsing movie times for this Saturday, I see that the Cinemark in CS is putting M:I back on the XD screen with "Bonus XD Content." Comparing run times, this version is five minutes longer.

Going to try and get my second viewing in with this version.

Wow... I haven't seen this in Houston... where did you find this??

Here's the B/CS Cinemark website.

Look at the listings for this weekend and you'll see the showtimes for it. I would guess that this is exclusive to Cinemark theaters with an XD screen.

where can you find details about it? how much and which scenes were extended? I searched and found nothing.. surprised as that's a nice marketing promo

UPDATE! In 1 week Fallout will overtake MI-2 and become the highest grossing MI Film in the US!

Just outside the top five is Mission: Impossible - Fallout, which brought in an estimated $3.8 million, bringing its domestic cume to $212.1 million, just $3.3 million shy of topping Mission: Impossible II to become the highest grossing domestic release in the franchise. That said, with an estimated $38.6 million internationally this weekend, the film's global cume now totals $726.6 million making it the highest grossing worldwide release not only in the Mission franchise, but the highest grossing worldwide release in Tom Cruise's career.
