I'll reserve judgement until The Critical Drinker chimes in. He is usually nails...

It's hard to say what the actual numbers are because of how loud a few people can be but there is clearly a subsection of the population that gleefully wants things to fail either as a "I told you so" or a "Hollywood is out of ideas." On the Star Wars threads and many others, people watch the entire series or set of movies despite saying how much they dislike it, just so they can get a full breadth of much they dislike it. We could probably count collectively on one hand the number of properties that have put out any sort of sequel particularly in the modern era, that it was considered better than the original - all I can think of off hand that has a case is some of the later Mission Impossible movies or Top Gun: Maverick - perhaps Tom Cruise is the magic sauce.

Let's talk more about how reviews remain embargoed (not good), especially while this whole thing has been screened.
And TCTTS, who reposts every tweet he finds, failed to repost the one from the employee he laid off (and usually reposts) that broke the embargo. My full review of JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH is now available for Premium Subscribers...https://t.co/ZY0a1CUTxX

You did it more than once.
And when you actually see the movie (which you haven't) you'll know that.

What facts are not straight?
Movie- Not good.
An embargo being held for this long would confirm it's not likely to be well reviewed.
A screened movie while holding back an embargo means they know the critic scores will be bad, were test ballooning some audience scores hoping to get that up (did not happen), and now here we are.

Your facts straight about ME.
But also, your other facts are **** too.
This is NO embargo on social media reactions, which blows a hole in your theory, seeing as critics can already publicly say whatever the hell they want about the movie. They just can't post full-length reviews yet. This is an EXTREMELY common practice.
The embargo lifts tomorrow, 48 hours before the movie itself releases. For most blockbusters, review embargos lift two to four days prior to release, and this fits that model exactly. Yes, the blockbusters that studios are extremely confident in often have their embargoes lifted earlier - sometimes a week to two weeks earlier - otherwise what we're witnessing here is standard practice.
Is this critic score probably going to be bad? Yes.
Would Universal have lifted the embargo earlier if they had more confidence in the movie? Maybe. Because, again, they DIDN'T embargo social media reactions and would have done so if they were truly panicked.
Either way, these movies are critic proof. Ultimately, none of this matters because it's a ****ing Jurassic Park movie releasing over the July 4th holiday.
It's going to make a ****-ton regardless, just like the past six movie have.
Your obsession with needing this move to fail, and constantly trying to play gotcha games with me, is ****ing weird.

Is there any thread on the entertainment board that you don't post in constantly?
