It was a joke.

Also I have bought 3 Jeeps, one Ford Explorer, and have a kid whose name matches with a candy in ET.

Whatever those guys are putting in my brain that manifests 15 years later- I shudder to think what the hell I'm probably going to be doing with Altoids about 10 years from now.

Hopefully not thinking they are suppositories.

We've been doing a rewatch to prep for the new one, just finished fallen Kingdom. I've never seen dominion before so that'll be a first time watch. All movies after the OG have quite a few eye rolling moments, but they're still a decent way to spend 2-2.5 hours

Pleasantly surprised. Had zero hype for this but really enjoyed it.

Oh and it's absolutely laughable that someone thought "Dolores is the goat" was somehow a spoiler.

IMO, it's very, very okay.

Not bad. Not great.

About as average as a Jurassic movie can be. I'd say roughly on par with Jurassic Park III.

The second half is better than the first, though, and features all the best action/set pieces.

That said, I genuinely do not understand the exposition or product placement complaints in the first act. Like, not even remotely. Does exposition and product placement exist in the first act? Sure, but it's no more worse or noticeable than what's in at least the last two Jurassic movies, or most sci-fi(ish) blockbusters in general. In fact, I wouldn't have given any of it a second thought if not for this thread. Hell, there's infinitely more (and worse) exposition in the last Mission: Impossible movie, and way more product placement in just about every modern-day-set blockbuster under the sun. Both are such insanely exaggerated complaints.

Now, I will say, this definitely felt like a first draft - one that could have used another few passes - and these are easily the thinnest characters in the entire franchise. None of them are particularly bad or annoying, IMO (well, maybe one is), but the attempts to give any of them depth/backstories are about as surface-level and on-the-nose as possible, with one early-ish scene, in particular, on the boat, falling incredibly flat.

Overall, though, I'd say it's worth seeing in the theater. You're not going to be wowed or anything, but you're not going to be not entertained either. It's... fine. But gets increasingly more fun.

I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for what was apparently going to so obviously be the big Delores GOAT "spoiler" scene… and it simply never came. For the life of me, I still have absolutely no clue what the hell he was talking about. Same goes for his exposition complaints. It was all just so manic and over-the-top.

That thing clearly acts more like a cat than a goat anyways.

So I thought this response was an interesting one. So instead of responding fast I looked at your user profile. I counted 20 responses on this thread alone and pretty much the only one you have responded to in the past few weeks so these dino movies clearly have some personal attachment for you.

So I'll let your childish response slide. FYI, the movie wasted 20 more minutes of my life than it should have. I should have walked out after 30 instead of 50 but I gave it 20 more hoping it got better. Nope, worse.

Saw movie in 4D last night. The 4D made it interesting. I could see watching this in a regular theater and not liking it. The 3D effects were blah. Why do they even try with 3D anymore? Because we will pay anyway.

I'll respond…and you are right, I typically don't mainly because I just don't care enough to respond. Or do I really live on texags anymore like I did when I was younger.

Yes these movies have an attachment for me, but to walk out of any movie/show/sporting event, whatever it may be, and then post about it online just to bash it is a weird flex. I've been a Broadway season ticket holder for nearly 20 years. I have seen some HORRIBLE shows. But walking out on something that you paid for makes zero sense. Then posting about it like it's a badge of honor? Unless the tickets were given to you, just seems weird to me. And yes movie tickets are cheap in comparison to a concert or Broadway or sporting event but it's still money.

Glad I garnered enough of a response to waste your time on here I guess?

Since you asked. I had not gone to a JP film in the movies in a long time. Reason I did this time. I'm a SJ fan and I was hoping her signing on ment it had upped its game in the writing department. Also wanted to see if watching one of these in the theatre actually made it better.

As far as me stating, I walked out. It was honest and the easiest way to convey what I thought of the movie. If that bothers you more than statung the movie was bad and not worth going to see. So be it.

FYI

Me walking out, was not a personal attack on you. So your first response which name called was uncalled for and the reason you got a longer response. It's OK if people don't agree on a movie.

Posting anything negative on this forum does get a badge because you then get attacked by the Hollywood white knights. Unless of course you weren't aware you would get attacked in the first place. Then its more like an ambush.

This.

I have only done so once, however. That was some POS Steven Siegal movie where he spent the entire movie whipping people's asses (doesn't narrow it down), then at the end stands in front of a group of people and lectures them about the evils of oil. F that clown. I got up and left - yeah, the movie was very nearly over, but I did leave, technically, early. At the time I worked for Texaco. My dad worked for Shell. Never watched another movie that guy did.

I'd say this is pretty accurate. Even throughout the worst of the last trilogy, I was at least morbidly curious what might happen next. And even though this movie is better than those in some regards, at this point I have zero curiosity/interest for what might be in store…

I'm not saying I never would walk out of a movie but I never have been even tempted to in all my years because I usually only choose movies to go to that I'm somewhat interested in seeing so that hasn't ever happened.

I've never walked out on a movie but I've slept through many. If I have a beer before a kid's cartoon movie, I'm out in 10-15 minutes. Some of the best sleep.
