Well you'll see him a few more times in what if

Hard disagree. I think this show would suck if every episode was essentially a basic retelling of movies we've already seen just with a different main character.AgTrip said:
I thought this week's episode was meh compared to last week's Capt. Carter. I get it was cool they had Chad's voice there but that episode seemed to be all over the place...but then again it is a "what if".
That's too bad. One of the things I loved about it is how all the main characters were the same folks as in the movies.Dro07 said:
Bautista Said he never heard from any one about it. The director or whoever said that it was talked about if I recall. He is probably still butt hurt he didn't get his own movie or show

I enjoyed it, was disappointed that Evans didn't voice Steve. Nothing over the top, a simple concept well executed. Listening to Bradley Whitford as the colonel I just kept hearing his character from Billy Madison, which made me giggle. Agree that it had an Iron Giant vibe, which I liked. Off to a good start.

crazy to think that by just giving t'challa a broader, universal stage completely neutralized the most significant threat of the entire infinity saga.
So much is changed by having T'Challa instead of Quill.AgTrip said:
Another thing I missed, no Gamora, no Rocket, no Groot. I get that it was more focused on the T'Challa story but with the GOTG tie-in, was at least hoping they made an appearance.
well, it's just one galaxy out of billions......Aggie_Journalist said:jackie childs said:

And yet also opens the door for Ego to Ego-form every planet in the galaxy. So does 100% of life now die instead of 50% ?
This is specifically confirmed when Drax takes a picture with T'Challa to send to his wife and kidTexasAggie_02 said:So much is changed by having T'Challa instead of Quill.AgTrip said:

- Ravagers become the good guys
- they mention defeating Ronan and also convert Thanos, so Drax's family is supposedly saved I would guess.
- Depending on when Thanos' conversion happened, it is possible that Gamora's planet was "saved" (they were supposedly starving before Thanos cleaned it out). So she is never kidnapped
- Not sure how Nebula gets into the picture, maybe she came along before Gamora, so that part of the timeline remained?
- Rocket and Groot were a team collecting space bounties. They would presumably still be out there, just not part of the GOTG.
- Ego finds Quill and may presumably take over the galaxy...... (I wonder if the Ravagers could end up going on an infinity guantlet mission to stop Ego? that would be cool)
Yet another example of me convincing my wife that it's OK for one of my 9 year olds to watch Marvel movies, then we turn on Ragnarok just when the orgy joke comes on.TexasAggie_02 said:
looks like he has the Grandmaster's Orgy ship.
B/c Quill never went to Zandar and Gamora would have been probably on her home planet as it was not attacked by Thanos (I assume at least). This is supposed to be happening in 08. Regardless, Gamora went to Zandar to intercept the stone from Peter. And Rocket and Groot happen to get caught up in it all.AgTrip said:

i mean, who knows, but wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back for peter that ego killed his mom? so i'm not sure that peter not being star lord would necessarily change thatAggie_Journalist said:jackie childs said:

The Watcher says that Yondu outsourced the job of picking up the kid to his subordinates (Kraglin and Taserface).Brian Earl Spilner said:
One thing I liked about episode 1 was that in that multiverse, it was all due to one tiny split-second decision which caused a butterfly effect.
This episode? Just completely arbitrary. There was no explanation given to how they picked up T'Challa, out of every young kid on Earth.
Didn't like that and kind of soured me on the whole episode a bit
