Bring on Thor!

Well, this will be the lighthearted episode everyone wanted.

Huge cast of characters and voice actors.

1. Well, Now we know Captain Marvel sucks in animated form as well. :-)
2. Party Thor rules.
3. Loki still awesome.

that ending.

This show can't help ending even its happy episodes with a hint of "Oh, but everyone is still going to die."

I think one episode is supposed to be Ultron winning. I wonder if this ending suggests we get a crossover between realities for that?
Thanks and gig'em

From what I remember no "what if" comic ever ended with a happy ending. The majority were all sorts of effed up

they were mostly downers, but there were plenty of happy endings, such as What if Elektra lived? or If Rick Jones became the Hulk.

Read that as Rick James became the hulk. And thought "damn, I need to find a copy of that."

Gamma radiation is a hell of a drug

The What If The Fantastic Four had four different stories, and I think three of the four ended pretty badly.

One of the weirder (and yeah, darker) of the FF4 What If's was about Reed Richards being unsuccessful in removing the venom symbiotic suit from Spider Man. It eventually makes him super old quick, then takes over the Hulk, then Thor.

Before release, this series was: "I'll watch it every Wednesday."
After a couple episodes, this series was: "I'll watch it when I have free time / remember to."
After this episode, this series has become: "I'll just wait a few months and have it on while I'm doing the laundry."

I find that I just don't care about these episodes. Many of them have taken multiple sittings to get through. Just not a fan of what they're doing with it.
I'm about there myself. I lightly enjoyed the Thor episode.

I did find it funny they are doubling down on Captain Marvel just being a miserable b^tch.

I thought it was funny in second episode they were having drinks with Thanos. And then rest of the episode Thanos was always trying to convince people of the efficiency of his method.

OH BOY!!! I really enjoyed this one...

cant wait for the second part and I am guessing the end of the last one was part of this one in essence. Loved the ending with Dr Octostrange showing up and telling the watcher to say it out loud.

Yeah, this one was fun too. So we have two episodes left this season? I'm guessing they'll both serve to bring a lot of our new characters together to fight this new Ultron?

Ultron with all the stones is the scariest thing I've ever seen.

That episode was nuts. Marvel is doing a great job of setting up all the multi-verse madness.

I kinda have a problem with 5-stone Thanos getting one-shotted by (essentially) Vision. If it was that easy then they should have won IW, just distract him for 3 seconds and then cut in half…

I thought about it too. I guess there's a difference between Vision and Ultron. Ultron doesn't think twice about killing someone. Vision might look for another solution. Vision is part Jarvis, after all.

Edit: I guess that's to say maybe the stones don't even give Thanos enough time to react.

Vision was also laid up after getting stuck through the gut.

Agree. But they wanted vision to get all six stones in five seconds to keep the episode under 22 minutes, so they're asking us to roll with it.

True. But I guess the next question is, even if they rally all the lingering heroes (Captain Carter, Party Thor, etc) - what can they possibly do against vibranium Ultron with all the stones?

But I feel like this show has done a strange depowering of Thanos. First he was nearly beaten to death by two of his kids, now he gets headshotted by Ultron. I guess it makes sense since Captain Marvel and Thor each almost solo'd him, but also, why couldn't Thor Iron Man and Captain America beat him?

If he's one of the deadliest beings in the galaxy without the stones, he shouldn't be hand-waived with 5 stones. Otherwise the Ant-Man Anus strategy had merit all along!

All of the Disney+ stuff seems geared towards recalibrating power levels and resetting what can be viewed as the "big bad". It will go beyond our little world and slowly creep towards reality being at threat.

Thanos did snap away half the universe, but we were told that. We didn't necessarily see it. This next iteration is setting us up to see beyond our world.

But it's not really vision. It's insane Ultron in the body. Vision was part Jarvis, and that's a big distinction. At least, imo

are you forgetting. Vision is at the heart/core of this version of Ultron.

He will be the key / way through which they defeat Ultron.
in AOU, JARVIS was thought to have been destroyed by Ultron, but he was hiding/protecting the world's nukes. They then took what was left of JARVIS and put him in the body that Ultron had made.

In this version, Ultron succeeds in uploading himself to the body, and he launches all of the nukes (so presumably Jarvis was actually destroyed in the first battle at Avengers Tower, or having the body/mind stone gives him the strength to overturn JARVIS for good) Turning Sokovia into a meteor was a plan B, b/c he couldn't get to the nukes.

This. Vis is also part Tony (as is Ultron), part Bruce and Ultron. He's very complex, which is a very interesting character dynamic. I do hope that the White Vision becomes Vision and we can explore the character more in the future....
