Melodramatic episode last night other than Shan turning into the person she doesn't want to be - the center of attention and someone that is going to get blindsided sooner rather than later.

The blonde chick who tried the insurrection at Tribal - you could have given me 25 guesses and I wouldn't have gotten her name right.

Not sure why they moved on Tiffany, other than being solid she didn't have an idol. Has there ever been a tribal this late in a season with 4 people getting votes?

This is probably the case every year, but right now there seem like a few shrewd players left, and a bunch of idiots just waiting to get picked off. I thought Ricard was doing great flying under the radar until his paypaya screw up. Danny too, despite being the biggest and strongest person there.

I wonder if this will blow up on Heather because that was an unnecessary cluster****.

Shan is definitely throwing her weight around too much. She's from a tribe of 2, not the Luvu tribe that never lost. She's all in on Xander so in the process she pisses off Naseer and Heather, only to vote Tiffany? That's a disaster for her.

He's so clueless. He didn't understand why she was upset. He deserved to get voted out.

I think the lack of food is getting to Shan and she is a little off on her social game. I think she can recover but she definitely needs to realize that the working relationship with Deshawn is on very thin ice and will probably need to watch her back when it comes to him. Her approach to him probably wasn't great but she was right that Xander should be the target and not Naseer who is loyal to them at the moment. I really like how Xander is playing and wish he would have been able to find that advantage. I don't think Naseer is really mad at Shan. He voiced his opinion on it and she changed it.

Heather doing all of that in tribal was annoying because she is probably one of the safest at the moment because she is a goat for any of the contenders to drag to the end.

So, if Xander was slicker, he should have just said he didn't have an immunity idol and saved his fake one for later. Would have confused her even more and she would have thought someone lied to her.

Obvious that Heather was told to further extend Tribal even after Jeff asked if anybody else has something to say

Maybe he could have kept the fake idol for another time but no one was going to think they were wrong about Xander having the idol. Everyone on the island knows he found the idol. They would only question who he gave it to. Xander may have had to give the fake idol because it is being used to look like one and he had it with him. I guess he could have kept it at camp but he probably wanted to have it showing to go along with the plan that he was going to play it to make sure Liana asked him instead of anyone else plus it's something for the jury to remember if he makes it to the end.


On Heather, I'm not going to bail her out on that one, I think that was all her haha. She also came up with a plan in a secret scene that she dreamed Sydney stole her torch at her house and it was a sign that she couldn't trust her. She admitted in a confessional she made up the dream to try to get everyone else to want to vote her out.

At the last tribal council she talked about her "Pastor instincts"to the group or something to that affect.

Maybe my brain is just too tired right now, but why did Shan split her extra vote?

We had to go back and listen to Ricard's explanation but I think it boils down to this:

IF…
Naseer went for Heather like he was told
Heather and Erika made a play for Shan, but Naseer didn't join
Shan and Ricard went for Naseer
Naseer uses his idol
Shan goes home

So they throw an extra on Heather just so there's enough on Heather in case Naseer gets anxious and plays his idol.

But if Naseer joined forces with Erika and Heather, Shan or Ricard would go home regardless.

Nasseer gave himself the kiss of death, going to someone the day of Tribal and saying it's too bad you're going home, I feel really bad about it. He was a Yes Man through and through. I still don't like Ricard much, but he's seeing the bigger picture here - eliminate the idols and keep Shan as his shield. Nobody cares about Ricard when terrible Shan is in the game dictating.

Heather is approaching all-time status for clueless person who nobody cares about but keeps going farther in the game because other people move her around as a vote.


Disappointed that Deshawn broke his word to Evie, but it was the right play at this point, you only move against the Wakanda Alliance when you have the numbers to take multiple members out, not just a 1-time vote and a 3-2 situation. Either they edited it weird, or Danny has no strategy at all other than his core 4.

Xander's will to win that competition was legit. Although as a big fat guy I hate that type of challenge because I know that only young skinny strong guys can win it.

I feel like a lot of people are saying Shan is out because she was calling the shots but I think she is out because she wasn't calling the shots. Since the merge, Shan hasn't been able to get any of her targets out and one of her targets was instrumental in getting her out in Erika. I think what killed her momentum from playing a Boston Rob/Tony/Kim type game was losing her loyal numbers in Genie and Naseer. I think those two never turn on her and could've been her Chelsea/Kat or Trish/Woo.

He had great field vision to realize that winning the immunity just delayed his vote-off by 3 days and he had to disrupt the rest of them to move the target off of him. Really impressed with him, and he went right to DeShawn as the weak link probably because he's heard Shan ***** about DeShawn for weeks now. I just watched it after being out of town last week. That was a major league surgical strike by Ricard, particularly because he pulled in Heather, Erica, and Xander to make it happen and got an extra in with Xander by warning him off playing his idol.

Must have been fun in the Shan church last night watching their fearless leader call someone else a snake for doing the exact thing that she was trying to do to him.

I think she called him a snake because she thought about turning on him but decided to work things out with him. That is when Ricard realized he had to make a move because she didn't want to take out Deshawn and if she didn't want to make that move then he felt it was only a matter of time before Shan sided with Deshawn to take Ricard out. It will be interesting to see how Ricard will maneuvers through the game now.

I think Ricard is sitting great right now, if he can make it through one more vote. He and Erika really. If he can side with Erika and Heather against Danny and Deshawn, then eventually flip on Erika, it's conceivable that he could play everyone against each other and make it to 4 or 5 easily.

The alternative is that Xander sides with Danny and Deshawn and I don't really see that - there's no way they flip on each other. So I think the path is some kind of Erika/Ricard/Xander cooperation to take our D&D, then whoever can get the others to flip on each other first.

If the final three is Danny, Heather and ___, I think that ___ is the winner. In a perfect world it'd be Ricard, Xander and Erika as a final three but I imagine they're all imagining a path with at least one goat.

They need to start doing the pre-merge as a couple recap episodes or something. After merge is when it gets good.

Erica is playing a sneaky good game. Glad Shan finally got the axe, couldn't take her whining much longer. Really was hoping Danny would start to show something, but hasn't yet. Deshaun is, not sure what to think about him… he's kinda all over the place, over analyzing stuff I guess. Ricard, I agree if he can survive another vote or two may be okay… but I think he's got a major target on his back after the reward challenge and subsequent axing of Shan.

If Ricard stays in the game, he deserves to win. There may be two idols out there though.

But, i'm hoping he doesn't win. Anyone but Ricard.

Whatever you do, DO NOT watch Shan's Ponderosa episode. She is completely ****ing self centered piece of garbage. She made a Survivor SHANty. I turned it off right there. I havent hated a contestant more than this.

Ricard needs to go scavenge for that Idol if he wants to stay in the game.

If I am Danny my goal would be to get either Xander or Ricard out. Trying to get the group to split votes between Ricard and Xander. Tell Xander we are voting for Ricard and tell Ricard we are voting for Xander. If Xander plays his idol then Ricard goes home and you flush out the idol leaving Xander unprotected and with no allies. If he doesn't then the votes are split and you re vote and decide which to send home.

At this point, the smart move would be to break up DeShaun and Danny, particularly because Lianna's vote should be totally for sale right now. What's really incredible is how many Tribals have gone by since they found out Xander has an idol and they still haven't forced him to play it or tried to blindside him without it.

Xander. Had the extra vote advantage and played it in case Erika voted for Ricard. As it turns out he didn't need to play it since Erika voted Liana.
