That was soooooooooo f-ing good.
So emotional. So thrilling. So fun. And so heartbreaking. Just flat out incredible in every way.
Whoever the critics are who said the second act lags, or that plot holes brought it down or whatever, are absolute idiots. Because every last beat of this movie is pitch-perfect.
Truly, everything that happens, that had been rumored for months if not years now, happens in ways even better than imagined.
Like Spilner, my theater went apesh*t for this thing more than they did even for Endgame. It was seriously like being at a football game. So much dialogue missed because so many people were losing their minds, over and over and over again. Just wild, incredibly loud cheering throughout.
Man, what an experience, and what a movie.

At least here in TX, Covid seems to not be an issue at all. Not sure about the rest of the country but it was hard to find 4 seats together in our area. Lots of sold out time slots. Which is wonderful!TCTTS said:
Omicron, unfortunately.
Wow! Crazy that people stayed away in the past but this was our first opening weekend for a movie in a long time. We have missed the opening nights for most movies (covid has never been a factor for me regarding crowds-I've plunged in head first into crowds and events since April of 2020) since we had kids. Too cheap for a baby sitter. But now that they are old enough, we will have to do it more often for Marvel movies.sburg2007 said:
Went to a sold out 1230 showing yesterday in Burleson. I've seen every marvel release this year plus GB afterlife they might it came out. It was the first time I've had more than 12 people in a theatre with me.

So you only like 3.3% of movies that are critically well reviewed. Congratulations on your very ****ty taste in movies. Maybe Batman and Robin is more up your alley.

Pretty much. The vast majority of crap posted on this board is absolute trash and will not hold up to the test of time.

I love this board. And y'all know I'm being highly sarcastic. But I do have a disdain for critics. Mostly because we think different. They usually don't value the "does it blow up, have aliens, or feature giant robots?" criteria that I do.

BREAKING! New estimate shows #SpiderMan #NoWayHome opening with $253m domestic, beating “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” to be the 3rd-biggest opening of all time — and that’s during a pandemic! Will the final number pass the $257m opening of “Infinity War” to be the new #2? https://t.co/u89PqQc2MR

Believe me, it's worth it. It's a much bigger image, and much better sound. The entire movie was shot in IMAX.
