That was soooooooooo f-ing good.

So emotional. So thrilling. So fun. And so heartbreaking. Just flat out incredible in every way.

Whoever the critics are who said the second act lags, or that plot holes brought it down or whatever, are absolute idiots. Because every last beat of this movie is pitch-perfect.

Truly, everything that happens, that had been rumored for months if not years now, happens in ways even better than imagined.

Like Spilner, my theater went apesh*t for this thing more than they did even for Endgame. It was seriously like being at a football game. So much dialogue missed because so many people were losing their minds, over and over and over again. Just wild, incredibly loud cheering throughout.

Man, what an experience, and what a movie.

Critics are always idiots and usually wrong 96.7% of the time.

So you only like 3.3% of movies that are critically well reviewed. Congratulations on your very ****ty taste in movies. Maybe Batman and Robin is more up your alley.

Fantastic movie! Cringe when the theater claps though. Like clapping when a plane lands.

In real life, I've never met someone who hates cheering/clapping in movie theaters, who is *also* a fun person to hang out with. Just sayin'.

To me, possibly the best MCU movie beating out Winter Soldier, EG/IW and Ragnarok (my top 4 MCU movies). So Amazing (ya, I know. Couldn't help it) and being able to be there and not have anything spoiled and with the crowd cheering was so great. First time my kids have been in that kinda movie atmosphere. It was so well acted and put together and nothing felt forced regarding the big reveals etc. So many emotional moments and crying to go with the cheering. Great great movie.

At least here in TX, Covid seems to not be an issue at all. Not sure about the rest of the country but it was hard to find 4 seats together in our area. Lots of sold out time slots. Which is wonderful!

Went to a sold out 1230 showing yesterday in Burleson. I've seen every marvel release this year plus GB afterlife they might it came out. It was the first time I've had more than 12 people in a theatre with me.

Wow! Crazy that people stayed away in the past but this was our first opening weekend for a movie in a long time. We have missed the opening nights for most movies (covid has never been a factor for me regarding crowds-I've plunged in head first into crowds and events since April of 2020) since we had kids. Too cheap for a baby sitter. But now that they are old enough, we will have to do it more often for Marvel movies.
I am just glad that more and more people are not letting fear dictate getting out and doing the things that they love. Kyle Field was amazing this year. Last night was amazing as well. Covid might have had it's risks to some no doubt, but to a much greater extent so does not living life, imo.

I'm confused. This is a thread for a marvel movie, a franchise that has been universally acclaimed by both fans and critics. So you either like these movies and actually agree with the critics (which you say you never do), or you don't like these movies, which brings the question of why you're even on this thread to begin with , other than to troll.

I love this board. And y'all know I'm being highly sarcastic. But I do have a disdain for critics. Mostly because we think different. They usually don't value the "does it blow up, have aliens, or feature giant robots?" criteria that I do.

My true disdain for critics didn't start until I was blindsided by The Last Jedi which was a gigantic pile of **** that they gave rave reviews for.

Things started getting rated better/worse for completely different reasons than if the movie was actually good or not. I wouldn't say I hate critics deeply but I don't have any trust in their viewpoints anymore.

I do take to heart the sentiments of the average joes on this board though since it is a mostly reasonable group on here.

That movie was fantastic! Of all the Spider-Man movies, there have been some clunkers, there have been some good or even great ones, but there has never been a perfect one. Until now.

Sitting waiting for the second post credits scene. Really good and had some truly great moments. Feel like others are more over the moon than me, but I get that feeling a lot these days. I think maybe the world has just jaded me.

This was awesome. Definitely in my top 5 comic book movies, not just MCU. Also, so glad we did a Spider-Man rewatch before going. Saved me from having to remind my wife who characters were (as much, still did a little).

Now time to head to the spoiler thread!

Thanks TC. I should have added that the last movie I saw in a theater was the first Deadpool. That said, Is more vertical picture ideal?

Believe me, it's worth it. It's a much bigger image, and much better sound. The entire movie was shot in IMAX.
