I've had my complaints but I've enjoyed the season. Seattle keeps trying dump on it harder than deserved but it's better than the first 2x.
The main thing is that decided Kwan needs to be a character that gets 5-10 minutes of screen time max and it's much better for it even without the giant fight sequences we're all hoping for.
Tentatively bumping.
Good finale. Finally got a bit of everything we were hoping for from this series in that single episode.
Flood, Guilty Spark, Arbiter vs. Chief 1 on 1, Chief using a light sword, Kai going strait Admiral Holdo.
I will say they've changed canon pretty harshly on 3 main characters.

Yes. They briefly referred to it as the Flood.
In the original game it went from a straight forward alien shoot em up game to horror all of the sudden when you find that these zombie like parasites are on the Halo.
I'll nerd out a bit. This is memory from 20+ years ago.
The Covenant think that the Halo is a sacred weapon to their religion to defeat humans.
The humans get to Halo right as the aliens do. Humans have no idea what it is but know they need to stop the covenant.
The humans find the "weapon" first. When they find it, they accidentally release the Flood which is the parasite you saw in the lab. The weapon is actually the Halo itself which is meant to not just wipe out the flood, but the Flood's food source (humans aliens, anything.). You go from killing aliens to fighting aliens and zombies (humans that have been infected )in a dark cave. And then you find that your weapons don't work on the zombies and have to change strategy mid game.
So the covenant still wants to use the Halo because they don't know what it will do. MC's mission becomes contain the Flood AND stop the Covenant from mistakenly vaporizing all sentient life.
Holy **** that was ****ing incredible! I'm going to be very disappointed if we don't get more.

I remember the flood in the game but not specific details. I think halo 2 even had them on earth? One of the games had a giant flood being in a lake that had maybe taken control of Cortana? It's been years since I've played.
I have no background with Halo game so it took a while (season 1) to get into the flow. Season 2 was awesome. How many seasons are currently planned?
I watched this largely as a time killer while working out. It is sad they took two seasons to get to the halo and bring the flood in. The last episode was probably the best but as a fan of the games most of the rest was meh.

Best Halo media project was the trailer for ODST. Compelling story told inside of four minutes.
The premise of this series was moronic from the get go. If you're going to make a Halo series, make a ****ing Halo series. Don't make a halfassed Halo series in an "alternate universe" where everything is different than it was in the games. The woke garbage was the nail in the coffin. For 10 years Halo was one of the most revered entertainment franchises in the world. It has gotten worse and worse with every game and every IP after Halo: Reach. My only caveat to that is I loved the Halo Infinite campaign because I've always wanted an open world Halo game.
But, very sad to see the Halo franchise be relegated to the trash pile of gaming history like this. Halo 3 came out my sophomore year of college and was about the pinnacle of multiplayer gaming for me. If they intend to keep the franchise alive, they need to go back to the drawing board and revolutionize the genre again with the next game, which is very unlikely to happen.

To me this even tops that. When this came out back in the day l, the hype was off the charts.
Of course, this "actual gameplay" never made it into the game, but it was still awesome when it came out.
I've never played the game. Really know nothing about it.
But I enjoyed season 2. Bummed I won't get to see what happens next. Perhaps because I don't know anything about the game is why I liked it. No complaints about what they deviated from.
