It was posted on the first page two times for good reason. The Macerana. This is not only the greatest one hit wonder onthe 90's, it's the greatest one hit wonder of all time.

As to one hit, thise two dudes did have a career in the music business, but they stepped in front of the mic for only one song in their career; The Macerana. It's the highest selling of all possible one hit wonders. Not just in the US, but world wide. It was a complete international movement with it's own dance.

In all the ways that you can measure success, The Macerana is by far the greatest one hit wonder of all time. All others are competing for second place and it's not even close.

Since we've moved past actual hits of the 90's and are just talking about songs we liked from that general era...

But then a quick googling told me they also did the theme song to King of the Hill so...
Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy is one of the best albums of the 90s. One of the best road trip albums of all-time. Every song is great. Lead singer has done a lot of solo work too.

Agreed, fantastic album.

I guess I don't know the rules. "One Hit Wonders" usually refers to a one-and-done band. Gene Loves Jezebel may have had one "hit" in the 90's, but "Desire" and "Motion of Love" were monster club hits in the 80's.

One of the best power pop albums ever. I'm glad they eventually had a huge hit, but FOW was great long before Stacy's Mom was released.

I'll add this one:

While it doesn't qualify as a one hit wonder, I would say Creep by Radiohead. Because it's the only song if theirs I like. But it's damn good.

Could you imagine saying or thinking that last sentence in the 90's?

Dave Chappelle with the Foo Fighters version is good.
