Right, but if she thought she was pregnant, why didn't she scream, "don't give me the rabies shot because I'm pregnant!" Instead of kicking the poor nurse in the face?

Fear is a funny thing
Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.

She was pregnant in S.1. Miscarried.

I just hope if I ever have a hole drilled into my skull, I can jump up and be walking around a few minutes later.

One other side note, the rifle scabbard mention on the bingo card above made me think of it, that rifle was submerged in salt water in S.1 when the tug capsized. One more calamity that this couple makes it through.

In any event, that rifle would need a DEEP cleaning as soon as was possible after that, otherwise it would rust rapidly. On the time line of the show its been well over a month since that incident, I doubt that it would be as pristine as it was when he uncorked it on the box car.

So, your assumption is that a character who's survival depends on his rifle, chose to not clean it after being soaked in ocean water. I really hope this series doesn't devolve into the minutiae of Spencer cleaning his gun or any similar events having no consequences.

The trip across America - from Galveston and Boston to Montana - is proving tedious as is.

At this rate, might as well have an entire episode of a gun cleaning.

Taking the rifle down part by part, detailed explination of how important each piece of metal and wood is, oils the hell out of it, cut to the Indian trio in Texas, Cut to the train trip from boston, back to Spencer, puts the rifle back together, Nararrator chick from 1883 chimes in on how the family is always in peril or being killed. Cut to credits. Written by Taylor Sheridan....

My first thought was Spencer should have ditched the bodies and stayed on the train. But I agree he's less likely to get caught this way. And since he rode the train over night, he has made significant progress westward. I agree he's likely going to meet up with the Indian characters soon. Maybe he'll save them from their pursuers.

I'm definitely over the BDSM stuff. We get it. Move on.

Jake's wife was pregnant and had a miscarriage. She didn't know she was pregnant again until the doctor told this past episode. She was just being a giant baby about having to get shots. It was really annoying. Helen Mirren needed to slap her a few more times.

Thanks. Need to go back and find the family tree up above somewhere. Don't remember Jack's dad getting killed in s1 but it's been a while.
From the S1 thread where this was discussed. Figured that would be easier than tracking it all down again.

Half the Entertainment board the next morning:

"What a deliciously brilliant piece of filmmaking. I just love how Taylor Sheridan wrings every bit of emotion out of the gun cleaning scenes ... the detail and dialog are just stunning. This is what television is supposed to be."

The other half:

"God, what a boring show. Get on with it!"

With every episode, I inch closer to "hate-watch" status. At least I have my bingo card now to keep it fun.

It's getting pretty ridiculous. But 1883 was the same way. I thought S1 of 1923 was more realistic and enjoyable in its conflicts. S2 is over the top.

The Cowboy that they first ran into said they were on the JA ranch.

That was one of Charles Goodnights outfits along with another gentleman named James Adair.

It was in the Palo Duro Canyon area and it was at one time a major strong hold for Quannah Parker and previous Comanche indians.

It was most likely actually filmed on the 6666.

I always laugh when characters in shows and movies won't explain who they are or why they are in a particular situation, when doing so would help themselves immensely but hamper the plot.

By now, both Spencer and Alexandra Dutton ought to have their stories down pat, and be able to spit them out to US marshals and Chicago police officers in a few seconds ... not hem and haw like they have something to hide.

Given all she's been through, I'm guessing Alexandra wishes she had stayed in Africa and married that English dude.

I don't even remember why Helen Mirren wired Spencer and told him to come home.

Was it because Timothy Dalton was trying to steal the land?

What is supposed to happen when he arrives? Is that the point of the series?

Decent episode minus the digital rape...didn't need to see that. The Texas bits are interesting. And we were spared Helen Mirren's typical corny rebukes of her husband.

I went back and read recaps on Wikipedia. The sheep herders (lead by Bronn) attacked the Yellowstone crew in retaliation for Jacob et al hanging some of the herders for trespassing. John (Spencer's older brother, the little boy from 1888) is killed and Jacob badly injured.

Right ... and at the time, no one knew whether old man Dutton would survive. Spencer was supposed to come home and help lead the fight to save the ranch from the sheep herders.

But as Jacob Dutton recuperates, the evil industrialist (Timothy Dalton) gets a notion he wants the land, pays the back taxes, and plans to own the ranch. Now it's much more than a range war, but I don't think Spencer is even aware of all that.

Why does Dalton's character get Dutton's land if he pays his property taxes? Can I just go pay someone's taxes and get their land? As I understand it, Dutton's taxes haven't come due yet.

After the episode last night, I figured they'd get to Bozeman somewhere in the season finale, leaving the dust up at the Dutton corral for season 3.

According to the internets, this was always a single series in two parts and it will end after this season.

Spencer and Alexandria better get moving.

Ah, and see, I thought this was supposed to be the second part of season 1, and would end after this. When it initially aired, after the conclusion of the first "season", Paramount said the next group of episodes would be the second half of season 1.

Then years passed, and it became season 2.

It's almost like there is no clear guidance or goal.

"When a homeowner doesn't pay property taxes, the overdue amount becomes a lien on the property, making the property act as collateral for the debt. If the homeowner cannot pay off the overdue amount and does not have a valid defense against the foreclosure, then the property will be sold off at a property tax sale where the lien on the delinquent property is auctioned off to the highest bidder."

Whitfield covered the Yellowstone debt, so Dutton has a set time period to pay the money back or he defaults and loses the ranch.

The laws may have been different in 1923 Montana, but thats not how it works now.

Today, it takes a LONG time, at least in Texas, to pull that off and a Judge would have to sign off on it.
Otherwise, you just donated to a neighbors tax debt.
