I wonder what are the chances Spencer winds up wandering through Panhandle on his trek?

It just dawned on me that Elizabeth (the girl getting the rabies shot) is Ainsley (the daughter) from Landman.

It's weird how she looks like a teen in Landman and 5 years older in 1923. Aren't the two shows produced at roughly the same time? Total Jedi Mind Trick.

No. Can verify that Landman was shot/wrapped before production started on this season of 1923.

So for her it would have been 1923 S.1, then Landman, then 1923 S.2. which is a lot of work for her, which I'm sure is a good thing.

The physical exams that they subjected Alexandra to are absurd. Based on my research of Ellis Island, immigrants were basically given an in-line evaluation by medical staff. Anyone who had an obvious problem was then pulled aside for further evaluation. She had no issues that would've warranted pulling her aside for further evaluation. Then having her examined by three different physicians while nude was absolutely insane.

And while I agree that a perfectly uneventful trip to Montana would be boring and not worthy of a show, the number of trials and tribulations that Spencer and Alexandra have had to overcome seem statistically impossible

I'm pretty sure the landman thread was joking about the daughter and her boyfriend looking about 25 yet their characters are in high school.

Funny to see that the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch had to deal with a proposed airport and a ski resort back in 1923.

I also laughed at the discovery of the "train station"

That Texas vista at the end of the episode during the ranching scene looked a lot like Caprock Canyons State Park.

I had this show on my watch list for quite some time. Finally watched the first episode about a month ago, just finished 2 &3 tonight. I am liking this quite a bit. But I wonder if I should have started with 1883?

I'm trying to like the 2nd season…crap it is slow. Spencer trying to get home is taking forever. And the whole Timothy Dalton BDSM is out there…

Same. I was figuring they wound up at the 6666 Ranch there at the end.

Sheridan lost a bet obviously, he cant let Spencer or the brit girl go one episode without escaping death.

Ive enjoyed it, but the squaw girl storyline is filler

Well he doesn't want to go "to the ocean" but I wouldn't have just jumped off in th middle of nowhere.

Yeah, in my mind I imagined him being several hours west of Fort Worth during this scene. Seems like his general route is "west to the ocean" so he'll jump off in Santa Fe (or Albuquerque?) then find a train north to Denver and then on. Or something like that. Now that he's west of Fort Worth I wonder if he stumbles on to the Indian girl and her companions.

I'm sure that they will. Otherwise it wouldn't have made sense to send her to Texas. Since everyone's pregnant on the show, I assume she's pregnant with rainwater's dad.

Her parents owned the Bar S ranch that was taken by 007 after the dad was killed. Mom headed back east to Boston and the daughter was about to join her.

No, his dad John was. Jack is the Grandson of Tim & Faith.Their dad was one of the little kids at the end of 1883, the timeline has him born in 1878, so he was but a wee lad. John (1) died in S.1 of 1923. He was a brother to Sepencer, born in 1888.

Thanks. Need to go back and find the family tree up above somewhere. Don't remember Jack's dad getting killed in s1 but it's been a while.

I thought about this too, but, if the Ft. Worth lawman sent out any kind of wire to look for him, lawmen in the next town might be waiting at the rail yard.

If he ditched the bodies, assuming the threw the kid off too, she/they would have most likely been discovered, or the bodies would have, and that could clue in the law...plus now he's gone from bootlegging to murder, depending on what story the little girl told.

Dead hobos/vagrants happened all the time back then, so Spencer ditching the train, going over land and most likely jumping on to another train later, would make his trail harder to follow.

What are the chances that Spencer and Alexandra end up in Montana at the same time and surprisingly run into each other???

That's going to be the last scene of Season 2 at this rate.

Speaking of pregnancies, when they announced that Elizabeth was pregnant on last night's episode, I was surprised because I thought it was already established that she was pregnant. I thought that was part of the reason she didn't want the rabies shots in her tummy...

For some reason, I thought just her and her husband knew. When she started screaming about the shot, I asked J why she didn't just tell them she was pregnant. He said he thought they knew.

I get not wanting a shot (or regular shots) in your stomach, but the over-the-top, violent refusal makes a lot less sense if she's not protecting her baby.

And why did the shot suddenly start hurting in last night's episode?

They mentioned she had contractions with it due to being pregnant.

Im so confused. I thought they had gotten pregnant before followed by a miscarriage (maybe season 1?).

I thought maybe her dramatic reaction to the shots was her being afraid it might hinder future pregnancies.

Anyway, I assumed the surprise pregnancy was new. She reacted that way

But she's not even really showing; at least not showing enough where anyone else suspected she was pregnant until last night's episode. So how could she have contractions that early?

That is what they said on the show I believe, it would be odd as she appears to be very early in her course. I don't know anything about rabies shots and pregnancy as I've never had a pregnant pediatric patient who needed them!

The only thing that's clear is that the writers and producers owe us an explanation.

(Let me rephrase that: Taylor owes us an explanation)

Right, but if she thought she was pregnant, why didn't she scream, "don't give me the rabies shot because I'm pregnant!" Instead of kicking the poor nurse in the face?
