The Eagles will still be saying farewell 5 years from now.
Hence the name of the tour: The Long Goodbye
Formerly Willy Wonka

This got announced today. The inaugural Big As Texas Music and Food Festival in Montgomery County in Conroe. I'm pretty amazed they will be having a three day festival in that area featuring the likes of one Billy Strings, along with Dierks Bentley, Dwight Yoakam, and many others. I'll for sure be there. .

My family went last year. It was just ok. It is a lot and seem to go on forever. The spectacle was cool for a little while, then they went into this section with a story that was really corny. Once that was over I thought it was done but it went on for another hour. We were all very ready to leave by the time it was done. It felt very repetitive to me.
Not saying it wasn't worth trying, but no way I would go back.
even then.. they are doing two shows a day, consecutive days for a month..Ronnie Woodard said:
Highly, highly recommend seeing TSO if you get the chance! Seen them 5 or 6 times and would go every year if they came through town.
As long as I can remember they've always run two tours at a time, basically TSO East and TSO West running the same show. Seen both (in different years) and unless you know the actual personnel you won't notice a difference.

Definitely possible. They know they've got limited time each year and can't tour year round, so I'd imagine they're willing to do whatever needed to pack in as many shows as they possibly can.
Did not see that insanity. On the bright side at least there is plenty of regular civilization surrounding the event should anything go awry.jh0400 said:johnnyblaze36 said:

Based on the Fyre Fest vibe in the supplemental packages (lol at $3,800 for a glamping tent or $15,000 for a private cabana), this could turn out to be a complete **** show.
Got an email this morning about a date at Moody in Austin as well just announced for Friday, February 2nd with Steely Dan opening. Will have to add that one to the calendar.WES2006AG said:
Looks like the Eagles are extending their farewell tour and have added a Houston date.
I wouldn't think backline accounts for much of the work when you have that massive stage with trusses, moving parts, lighting, pryo, etc.maroon barchetta said:Ronnie Woodard said:

If they are renting the backline in each city it makes for less stuff to haul and setup

I know the band name is Eagles and not The Eagles but it just sounds weird to me to say it without "the" in front.

On the other hand - "what are your favorite The Eagles songs?" sounds wrong, too.
yet 'the Beatles' is the official band name.Aggie87 said:Know Your Enemy said:

so what are your favorite The Beatles songs?
I think there's a logical time to use "The" and a logical time not to, based on the context.

Caught The Church on Friday night in Phoenix. I've been a fan of this band for close to 40 years now, but this was the first time seeing them live. Probably my favorite show of the year, they put on an amazing show.
They're mostly known for "Under the Milky Way", but have cranked out album after album since then that are just as good. Well worth seeing if you're able to. They'll be in TX at the end of October.

Same. I was excited to see the FTW date until I realized it was over a year away.
