I got that poster from the gin blossoms email blast. They are every date on that poster per their website.

It's a fun place to see a show, being early September it will most likely be hot, so dress light. It's also not actually in NB, even though they claim to be. It's in Canyon Lake/Startzville, which is a good drive out of town.



In other news, Ragweed just posted a picture of a wrapped present in the shape of Texas, so hopefully a Texas tour will be announced soon.

Absolute fantastic venue. Nothing better than floating the river all day and then coming here for a show. Yes it will be hot there

Intimate setting and acoustics are great. It's mainly SRO (unless you buy seats) and you can see the stage easily from all angles.

Now depending on the show, it can get get crowded butts to nuts. Sucks to get drinks cuz the lines can get long.

Biggest downfall is it's location cuz it's at least 20-30 minutes away from New Braunfels. Getting out after the show is a pain in the ass. It's a one way lane each way out. Very difficult to get an Uber after the show. Having a DD is very advantageous

Noticed that, too! Reddit thinks "perpetua" means this will be an indefinite Papa incarnation and I could see that making sense.

man.. I feel like they really don't need to clarify the bands where those names come from..

I mean, if you are a fan of hard rock/metal and looking at this poster, you have to know who all those people are.. save for ii


the more look at this poster the more I really feel bummed as an american fan!

Leaving on July 4th to get over there.. flying back in a day or two.. a quick look at flights shows roughly $3k, and a 30 hour itinerary.

Just ain't happening.

congrats,, they put on a great show, i traveled to Bratislava last July to see them, not knowing if they'd ever tour in the states again and they sounded as good as i'd ever seen them (which only dates back to 2008).

since they're not coming to Houston this leg, i picked Tampa to go see them, since i had a good experience with the outside venue last year in Slovakia.

Anybody ever been to Australia? I'm trying to go see Billy Strings' first ever shows there in July. Round trip flights from Houston are only $940 and it is my understanding after talking to a travel agent that I can fly from Melbourne to Sydney to Brisbane and back to Melbourne for only 30 bucks per flight. A VISA is only $12 too.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

Ask on the travel forum, HollywoodBQ knows everything about Australia travel since he traveled to/from there many times a year for decades

but, that is a long time to be in economy

Appreciate the recommendation/referral. And yes, the thought of a 23 hour flight with two stops along the way absoluely slays me. And then to have to do it again on the way back; I'd rather be dead.

But, if I'm ever going to make it to this other continent I've heard such great things about my entire life, it seems like a must. We'll see what happens.

Go for it! Australia is a great place to visit,, see if you can spend a few weeks there and really make it worth the effort. See Uluru and sleep under the stars in the outback, scuba the reef, pet a koala in Brisbane, climb the harbour bridge in Sydney,, were some of my favorite things when I went 10 years ago. Tons to see and do no matter what your interests
