Phish fans say hey. My ex wrote the original Phish lore bible and founded their charitable music foundation.
His room in college was filled with bootleg tapes for sharing and he was a usenet newsgroup admin for Phish fans in the 90s. He was exceptional, but Phish fans are quite a breed.

Let's all just admit Taylor Swift is an amazing singer songwriter and performer but not everyone's cup of tea.
My wife's cousin has has seen Dave Matthews Band in concert 147 times. That's not an estimation, it's the exact count. Her daughter who is a junior in college has seen them 52 times.

I looked up some ticket prices and even assuming a modest $200 per ticket over the years (any shows I was looking up were much much more than that), that's like $20,000 in concert tickets (assuming a single ticket) and who knows how much in merch and food and drink while there. that's a crazy amount for a single artist.

Yeah it's pretty wild. They also sit fairly close every time and have come to know some of the members of the band. Their daughter refers to Carter Beauford as Uncle Carter.
I've been going to DMB since 2003 and I think I'm around 35 shows. Going to at least 2 more this year. Not nearly as impressive as nai's family.
Again not my jam, but they really love DMB and it makes them happy. So I'm happy for them. Plus it's a fun story for me to tell.

Taylor Swift is an Adult. Many people, such as myself, grew up listening to her throughout the years and enjoy listening to her music. And in 2024 she is putting out music that is relevant to her as an adult.
