Partly because there's a posting history of guys like Star Wars Theory, where their videos/demeanor used to be one thing, for all fans, whereas now it's almost exclusively rage bait, which we all know is what brings in the big clicks. We've seen a change in some of these YouTubers to more aggrieved, conspiratorial, InfoWars-like content, that feels so overly performative as to almost certainly be disingenuous. I'm not saying Star Wars Theory isn't genuinely upset at some of this crap (which is a whole other sad discussion, re: grown ass men throwing temper tantrums on the internet), but it's so obvious he's found a more profitable lane that he's now directly pandering too.
Both versions of him on his videos are fake and suck, and they just target different people.

Sol: They want us to like Sol, but I feel like Sol is an "ends justifies the means guy" and he's guarding a pretty significant secret or two. Both about what happened on Brendok as well as why Osha left the order. I called him a equivalent to Qui-Gon during the first few episodes, but I don't really subscribe to that theory anymore. Qui-Gon rescued Anakin from a life of slavery. I think just about everything about Osha's memory from Episode 3 is fake. Why would she even know who the Jedi are or want to be a jedi when all she knows is the place she lived. Every time the Jedi are mentioned, all of the Coven freak the **** out, so at what point would she have learned that they were all good?
Sol might not have been the main perpetrator of what happened on Brendok. We know they hypnotize Torbin or something, and that leads him into a fight with Kelbacca that ends with Torbin badly mangled. Maybe it was Indara that set the path in motion that led the defeat of the witches because she was pissed about her Padawan. Or maybe in the Torbin/Kelnacca fight, they severed somethng in that big power generator and it caused a big explosion that killed all the witches, so they needed a cover story and still got to recruit Osha. Regardless, I think Sol is headed for the pointy end of the lightsaaber, and since my theory remains that Osha BECOMES the acolyte at the end of the season, I think she's going to be the one to do it after she's able to piece together all of the lies of the Jedi.

Osha: After 4 episodes, I think Osha's character would have been great as a lead in a Star Wars series bout life on the Outer Rim or a mechanic who becomes part of a bounty hunter team or something like that. I really like the actress and I like her joy for the role, but there's nothing about her that indicates she was once a Jedi other than her connections with Sol and Yord. She can't command the force even a little bit, but as a kid, she was making it hum. She says she's mad at her sister, but doesn't seem that mad. Like I said in my previous post, I think she's living a Jedi-created lie of what happened to her family, so I'm hopeful when she figures that out, we see her really turn into a great actress in a great role.

I really like Yord, because he seems to be a Jedi for all the right reasons. He's a little too procedural for most of their tastes, but it's only because he wants to do everything by the book. I have a bad feeling Yord's going to get cut in half in the next episode. Probably he'll get a brief duel while most of the nondescript Jedi on the mission get ganked in the first five seconds.
When they were strolling along through the wilderness in the big Jedi pack, I paused it and said to my kids, "You see all these other Jedi? Do you know their names? Have they said anything?"
Had to explain to them the redshirts and that anytime a new good guy shows up that you haven't seen before and don't know anything about, they are just there to die.
Jecki is another character I really like. She does a great job of mimicking Sol's movements and even his posture, something a Padawn would definitely do if she worshipped her master.
Also, I should have put this earlier, but I think Sol is training all the young Padawans out of guilt for what he did to Osha and Mae. Because those Padawans are about the same age as Osha/Mae were in Episode 3.

Well I went from thinking I was a genius with my Qirmir theory to realizing it was everyone's theory and now not being sure that the baddie isn't the Zabrak female Mother Koril.
My doubts about it being Koril are two-fold: 1) Where would she have picked up the saber and learned so many Force powers and 2) Did she abandon Mae after the fire and then circle back around and recruit her years later? That doesn't make much sense.
Since we don't know anything about Qirmir other thanhis "used to run guns for the Hutts" he's the more likely candidate. I really like the idea of him following along with Mae to kill the Masters to see if she is worthy of being the Acoylte.
Or if he's got the power of foresight, maybe he knows that Osha is the one he really wants. If he's a Sith, maybe the whole thing is meant to trim the herd of Jedi by drawing them out into a confrontation and butchering them all. Then he indoctrinates Osha and she goes back to Coruscant as the whole survivor of this encounter with a mysterious warrior who died of his wounds and she got away. Now she's inside the walls, accepted back into the Order, and nobody knows that the Sith are rising again.

Good to have you back PCE, and really like all of your thoughts above. I've been critical of some show aspects but I've also maintained that I won't conpletely judge the story until I've seen the season finale. As you've pointed out, since its written as a slowly unraveling mystery, there's definitely plenty of room for the story to end up being pretty compelling. Keeping my fingers crossed and from here out I'm going to just ignore troll posters and refrain from pointing out their hypocrisies.
I think you are spot on with Sol and Osha. Though, I have a hard time believing the Jedi would welcome Osha back in if she's the only one that returns and all these other Jedi die. Another mark for Qimir being the masked villain is the way he/she/it walked up and looked right in Osha's face. Reminiscent of the way Qimir walked up to her in episode 2 and said "you look just like her." Very menacing, and almost as if he's sizing up her potential.
After all, she has a lot of fear and anger going.
In my mind I know they want a 2nd season of this show, which means they have to keep some of the cast around. That gives me hope for Yord, and I think especially Jecki will make it out. I will say on the critical side that Mae's sudden decision to give up and turn herself in is my biggest sore point of the show so far. Even for a weak minded fool like me they could have had her having a breakdown while walking or while alone or what ever. Although another point in favor of Darth Mendoza is he never got tired once on that long trek.maybe it's all the weed he smoked back in Jacksonville
