Mainly just the technical stuff, like the camera setups on the cars and all that, some of which I shared I earlier in the thread, along with a bunch of behind-the-scenes stories I can't share publicly. My buddy did say a few months ago that he personally thought the movie itself was really good, and praised Pitt a ton, but as late as yesterday I don't think they fully realized how well it was going to work for audiences. I texted him a Variety article with a bunch of the reactions I posted last night and this was his response: "That's amazing. Felt it played well today. But that's great"

Not to set expectations too high, and we of course need to hear more reactions first, but so far this is one of the rare blockbusters where I've yet to see a single remotely negative sentiment. Like not even half a sentence. Pretty crazy.

Just great, I'll never be able to afford F1 tickets again.

The only IMAX theater in Austin is super inconvenient and only has late afternoon/evening showings. Was hoping to see it in IMAX but may have to settle for a typical theater.

FYI...there's a new IMAX in Hutto at "Hooky". I believe it is 1:90 and single laser, but smaller than Bullock. Recliner seats (with seat food/drink service). Nice, new and clean - saw Mission Impossible in it already.

Already have my tickets for Sat opening weekend.

And cheap - matinee tickets were only like $11 for F1

Since 2012 I attended every F1 race weekend in Austin until last year, 2024.

The amt. of money for a 3-day pass (Turn 9) + RV slot + RV rental + food/drink... got to be too much.

fir the $$$$s spending I could fly to the Montreal race or Europe and stay at a nice hotel.
