I want to know what card was in his pocket?? Seven of spades???
Why?
Because he looked at it and smiled. He draws them blind and puts them in the pocket before the race. Was he lucky and get the 7 of spades?
I was asking why 7 of spades.
Joseph Kosinski’s ‘F1’ has passed $500M worldwide.

All valid points and why I asked the question. Thanks.

It will also go to Apple TV Plus late this fall, which is a great marketing tool for them, as they have US Streaming rights for Formula 1 starting in 2026. So the timing of the release works out nicely for them.

Seriously? ESPN is losing the rights...I'm going to have to sign up for another monthly sub?? Good gosh almighty.

Honestly worth it, show for show AppleTV+ has some of the best content out there.
I am curious how they'll handle it, whether they'll wrap it into the standard AppleTV+ subscription or do something like they do with Major League Soccer where it's a standalone package you pay for.

Don't disagree with any of that.
I don't know that I'd pay for the MLS access if I didn't already follow a team, and I have to think that'll be even less for F1 when not as many people here follow the sport.

I talked to many fans and some people in F1A in Zandvoort last weekend and legit couldn't find a single person that liked the film. Some didn't say "I hated it" but nobody said they liked it. Nobody wearing APX merch either.
I can see the Austin and Vegas crowds being a complete 360 from Europe tho.

As an F1 fan, the plot is so utterly ridiculous.
-plenty of other drivers are available in lower ranks or even journeymen in their 30s
-wrecking other cars to advance your team mate would absolutely draw the attention of the stewards and likely earn you a race ban.
-I don't think Sonny even has enough points for a super license
-trying to score just a point would have been difficult enough but a race win is an impossible goal for a bottom field team
None of that actually matters because that was just a fun movie with great action shots and incredible sound. It was worth seeing in IMAX. My only regret is that I tried so hard to get a popcorn bucket and they were sold out everywhere.
