Disgusting but par for the course. Fauci needs to be ruined

I think it's clear that Biden has dementia and hasn't thought clearly for years, so I hope the validity of these broad blanket pardons can be challenged and that the actors are forced to testify in any case.

Perfect. Then call every single one of them in to a congressional hearing and WHEN they lie, charge them with perjury. They no longer have the right to plead the fifth and if they say they don't remember, then put all their emails, phone calls, etc on the screen and make them remember.
Do the exact same to Hunter Biden, heck put most of Biden's staff on the stand so we can finally know who was running this country into the ground these last four years.
Lots of sedition and treason to go around for Biden's ilk.
The media did comment. Led by Van Jones who basically summed it up as 'Biden did the right thing!' The media is Pravda. They will spin their anti-democracy thoughts as truths.ts5641 said:
The big issue is why would you preemptively pardon them on your last night as president. But since we don't have an actual media, it will never be asked.
Biden pardons this morning on his way out include Anthony Fauci, Liz Cheney, Bennie Thompson, Zoe Lofgren, Adam Schiff, Pete Aguilar, Stephanie Murphy, Jamie Raskin, Elaine Luria and Adam Kinzinger.

If they did nothing wrong, why the pardons?
Unless…
This is the 'man' Democrats have defended vociferously for years.Quote:
You see, this "non-violent drug dealer" threatened or beat at least four women in order to force them to engage in commercial sexual activity.
He beat one learning-disabled woman on a daily basis. He had 12 prior convictions.
Biden lowered his sentence from 22 years to 12 years.
Biden commuted the sentence of Valentino Shine, 57, convicted in 2019 of five counts of sex trafficking, narcotics sales and intent to distribute crack cocaine.
He ran a sex-trafficking operation out of his Buffalo residence, exploiting at least nine drug-addicted women and coercing them to engage in commercial sex acts. His motto was "BABI-PAE" Break a [Expletive] Incorporated; Pimping Ain't Easy.
Three of the women who worked for Shine died of drug overdoses as a result of their addiction. He would use beatings and drugs to control the women.
Biden lowered his sentence from 30 years to 18 years, 4 months.
Jaron Ruth, 32, another Buffalo native, pleaded guilty in 2019 to selling drugs in Erie and Cattaraugus counties over a period of three years and possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking during that period.
Ruth had been charged with shooting a man in the chest during a burglary of the victim's home, but that charge was not a part of the plea.
Instead, the judge found at the sentencing hearing that Ruth had "more likely than not" committed the murder and used that crime to enhance his sentence.
Biden reduced his sentence from 10 years to 7.
I wonder whether President Biden knew what he was doing when he signed off on these commutations. I'm sure he didn't read 2,500 memos from his staff.
I have no idea who on his staff recommended these commutations to him, but this follows a long line of practices for the "criminal-justice advocates."
why would media ask a question everyone knows the answer to?ts5641 said:

The preemptive pardons... unprecedented? That's the new standard? Presidents can hire people to commit crimes with the promise of a preemptive pardon?

Right, because innocent people never end up in prison. This about as bad a take as "if you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about."

Then by your logic, why not issue a preemptive pardon for all of us? That way we ensure that no innocent people ever go to prison.HTownAg98 said:GEA89 said:

A waste of time and resources. I'd rather DOJ spend their time deporting illegal immigrants.
I just saw a rather terrifying comment that if Joe thinks he can preemptively pardon these Trump critics, what keeps him from pardoning every illegal alien in the US as he walks out the door?HTownAg98 said:2023NCAggies said:Go after them, F this piece of paperCDUB98 said:

Quote:
There are several reasons to expect that a broad pre-emptive pardon would be held invalid. A pardon which doesn't specify in sufficient detail the offenses pardoned conflicts with the notion that accepting a pardon is an implicit admission of guilt. It is hard to say that a person who has accepted a pardon for any offense he or she may have committed has admitted guilt to an offense when we don't know what wrongful behavior has been acknowledged. Moreover, judicial language justifying pre-emptive pardons appears to have pardons for specific offenses in mind. In addition, it is unlikely that the framers would have vested in the president the power to issue pardons for offenses of which he was unaware. Amnesties which can benefit people whose identities are unknown must nevertheless specify the offenses that are forgiven. Nevertheless, the question of how specifically a pardon must detail the pardoned crimes remains open, and the Nixon pardon, which has been generally accepted as legitimate, may figure importantly in any judicial discussion.
Once again Democrats excel at hypocrisy and double standards.Quote:
Although truthful testimony might shame a witness or open Trump or others up to suits for civil damages, these considerations cannot support Fifth Amendment claims. Also, with criminal prosecutions off the table, Congress or the Justice Department, perhaps acting through special counsel, might be more rather than less willing to explore the possible crimes and bad acts of Trump and his associates. Even if illegal behavior were uncovered, the DOJ would not be in a situation where it felt it had to bring charges that might unacceptably exacerbate political divisions or result in trials where juries did not convict. To a degree determined by the scope of Trump's pardons, recipients could be required to flesh out details about crimes for which they had been pardoned, perhaps implicating others whose involvement had gone undetected. If they then lied to avoid shaming themselves or to protect others, they could be tried for that crime.
Nothing does.Quote:
