I do not ever remember an entire government appointed committee receiving pardons. And has the head of the NIH ever been pardoned?
Haven't read through all of thread yet so apologies if this has been asked and answered - but, not being a pardon guru, how many times (other than Ford's pardon of Nixon) has a president granted a preemptive pardon to someone who has not even been charged with a crime? Best I can tell (https://www.justice.gov/pardon/pardons-granted-president-donald-j-trump-2017-2021) even Trump's first term pardons involved people having at least been charged with crimes. Maybe not convicted or not sentenced, but at least charged.GEA89 said:
Innocent people do not need preemptive or any kind of pardon.
Now you know they were guilty and forever identified as criminals.

Everyone be sure to understand, this is not Biden doing this, this is the Commie regime protecting itself. It just happens to be Biden's signature.
A waste of time and resources. I'd rather DOJ spend their time deporting illegal immigrants.
Unlike trying to guess which content might get removed, this is simple. Just do it. When you do a post, no matter how obvious it is, preface with a few lines of your own in comment. Its a good habit to be in in the AI age anyway when too much generic will be being generated without comment.annie88 said:RAB91 said:

I always try comments now because of this, but I don't understand it because usually on the links it's very clear what the subject is. But it's the way they want it.

Burdick v. United States (1915): In this case, the Supreme Court clarified that accepting a pardon implies an admission of guilt. George Burdick, a newspaper editor, was granted a pardon by President Woodrow Wilson but refused to accept it, arguing that acceptance would be an admission of guilt. The Supreme Court agreed, stating that a pardon "carries an imputation of guilt; acceptance a confession of it." This ruling underscores that a pardon cannot be forced upon someone; it must be accepted to be effective, and acceptance has implications for the perception of guilt.

This seems like new ground being plowed (again, the Ford/Nixon pardon being only one I know of previously)

I did not read this entire thread so this may have been answered. I am sorry
Do the pardons cover future crimes or is there a timeline on the crimes.

Look, it's pretty much the height of corruption that Biden is doing this. But you aren't going to find a judge with a brain anywhere that says it's outside the president's power.

At this point I want him to pardon himself. (Don't even dispute it -- let him) It will give Trump the means to abolish lawfare against him after 2028.HTownAg98 said:
