In past shut downs, everybody still got paid and the executive branch made sure to implement shut downs in a way that caused the most pain for every day citizens. Will be interesting to see if they can implement a shut down in a way that jettisons a bunch of flunky hangers-on types while keeping the essential services operating and things like national parks open.

She looks like the Secret Service agent at Butler, PA. Women cannot physically do all the things men can do.

I will go to me grave knowing women could not pass Ranger School with the same standards, I had to meet to pass. The standards have been lowered to allow them to "graduate".

There are great women in the service to our nation, but we must uphold the true standards to achieve greatness and lethality on the battlefield.

I love this. We've already seen how the left reacted to Trump firing bureaucrats in the administration with TRO's, lawsuits, and a full court press on the MSM. But now, they could fire a whole lot more people across the board for lack of funding which democrats can share the blame. Firing will put the pressure on Congress in a way that unpaid leave (which would become paid leave later) never could.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what happens when Dems don't get to control what gets shut down and can't "make it hurt" on the public during a shutdown. Would be nice to see all of the public facing parts of the government like parks and monuments stay open and all of the bureaucratic hellholes like HUD get shut down.

They will capitulate. Its bad enough Trump is deporting their future voters in large numbers, they CANNOT also lose their bureaucratic power in the Deep State.

There is not anti-constitution at all. It is asserting to Article 2 role of the President as the single elected representative of the voters will expressed through the electoral college. These are the election consequences you may have heard Barack Obama speak of.

What is anti-constitution is for state and local governments to refuse to comply with the supremacy clause and cooperate with federal law enforcement. Their failure to enforce their own state laws is creating the chaos that forces the President to send federal law enforcement and National Guard to protect federal properties and employees for criminals running wild. Stephen Miller's speech to the Memphis police department yesterday was an accurate description of the situation.
