Within 45 days of the date of this order, the Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General shall, in coordination with the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and the Counsel to the President, review records related to the assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and present a plan to the President for the full and complete release of these records.

I was a fish when JFK was assassinated, so I have lived through all the rhetoric and conspiracy theories. I thought I had heard all of them, but on WBAP today, someone said the Secret Service accidentally shot him and it was covered up. This guy said after the first shot, a SS agent jacked a round into his M-16 and it discharged. He went on to talk about the autopsy and other items, but I was driving and didn't get past the SS revelation!
I'll admit, I had never heard that before!

Aaaaand now you're being pedantic. It's entirely possible to confuse the two very similar rifles and still be plausible or even correct in the theory. Besides, tell me from this picture which of the two the agent is carrying.
I heard the caller on the James Show today, also. He did say M-16, but I believe he was speaking from memory about what he read in one of the many books on the subject. I wouldn't take his saying M-16 as the accounts in the book having said it.Ag with kids said:Very interesting, since the M-16 didn't go into service until 1964...buzzardb267 said:

Let's say the CIA assassinated JFK.
Does anyone think the documents will be declassified and it reveals the CIA's role in assassinating JFK?
Do you think they would even write that in highly classified documents?
He might have said that, but the theory is around an AR-15 and apparently that was definitely present. Anyway the book people here are trying to remember is this one. Rather fascinating and back in '91 I believed it more plausible than do now (mostly for Outdoor board reasons against it) but its a very interesting read and the stuff of a novel if true.Ellis Wyatt said:I heard the caller on the James Show today, also. No, you are just the one making a point that doesn't actually matter.

It will be a nothing burger and people will assume the deep state is suppressing the spicy parts.
If our CIA actually assassinated the likes of JFK or MLK or had any knowledge or involvement whatsoever, that sh** had to have been shredded decades ago, right?
It does make you wonder why it is all still too secret to this day. If there is nothing to hide, what gives?
Not necessarily. There's a lot of stuff still out there even though too many make the fallacy arguments similar to yours.
Dino Brugioni, for example, who made briefing boards for the ACTUAL Z-film of the JFK assassination (not the ones that were released), saw those boards years later and told the then head of his department about them. The "too many people were involved in a conspiracy for it to have worked..." crowd would have assumed, like you did, that these boards would have been shredded, but they weren't. There's more evidence out there. Plus, there's evidence in plain site that a lot of people don't know about.
Here's the interview with Brugioni:
Warren Commission apologists can't claim he isn't credible. They (the Commission) also don't mention him in their investigation or report.

This would be my same thought, any incriminating documents, if they did exist, were purged years ago, no way those kinds of documents would have made it into any archives? I seriously doubt anything like that existGarrelli 5000 said:
Honestly I cannot fathom incriminating docs exist that are only hidden behind classification if they implicate cia, fbi, lbj, bush, etc.
Those things would have been lifted and destroyed decades ago.
