It has been studied many times since including by the National Institute of Science and their conclusions were wrong. That dictabelt was the ONLY evidence they found of more than one shooter.

I even remember it was so early there was no permission to use the photos just drawings. If its just the dictabelt that changes things and not in a good way. Yes, their conclusion was based entirely on the dictabelt. They decided that it showed an additional shots with 95% accuracy and since they knew that Oswald only fired three times (which they do not dispute) there had to be a second shooter and a conspiracy for multiple shooters to be there. They found no evidence of a conspiracy... other than the second shooter which was evidenced by the dictabelt.
They didn't find a conspiracy, only that if there was two based on dictabelt evidence, there had to be a conspiracy. But because they didnt find any evidence at all of a conspiracy, they couldn't say it was CIA, FBI, LBJ, KGB, Cuba, Mafia, or any of the other common or uncommon theories. They found no ties to the assassination other than Oswald and couldn't tie Oswald in with any of the conspiracies.

As to JFK, this "task force" has no meaningful purpose other than grandstanding. The documents are being declassified and Congress has no role in that.
The 'magic bullet' (required to make sense of the single shooter claim) was never believable, in truth.

With your experience on media spin on European matters, you will appreciate this is a case where that phenomena bites the other way. The MYTH was always the `magic bullet' moniker. It came from an always wrong recreation of the trajectory of the bullet.
When properly understood, they can make it line up in actually two moments depending on which version of first shot you go with.
But understand that `magic bullet' is a mocking term come up for what was always a faulty reconstruction. To even use it is to misunderstand what need to look more closely at.

If talking about the dictabelt, every expert both in the government and outside the government such as at Harvard and the National Academy of Science has determined the conclusions about the dictabelt in the 70s were faulty and currently nobody believes that it actually recorded what people at one time thought it did.

Just a caution -- even if one believes any number of the conspiracy theories (in the good ordinary prose description sense) --- what saying is don't follow `magic bullet' mockery. In the same breath she is talking about bringing in the Parkland doctors, so you are probably giving her way too much credit. Maybe she meant the House Select Committee, which wasn't a commission. There are a couple of members left in their 90s from that. I'm sure their memories from the committee nearly 50 years ago would be sharp as a tack.
There was at least one more commission that happened where the JFK files were reexamined and witnesses questioned again I think. It was a broad based one. I'll Google here in a sec. Getting some tacos atm
