Joe Kasper is out as Hegseth's Chief of Staff now. He was sworn in for that role in January.

Weren't 3 or 4 staffers fired by Kasper himself? Or are we talking about different things? I genuinely haven't been following very closely.

People should take some of these staff shakeups with a grain of salt. Staffing up requires lots of recommendations, referrals, etc and a willing bench who will play for the new coach.

With a political outside coming in, particularly in a role like SecDef, so its hard to simply pin this on Hegseth as some indication of failure (sorry for those wanting to cheer this on).

If one has had to fire several STAFFers for insubordination & leaks, one would expect the chief of STAFF would be under some pressure to move or be moved along.
