LOL what an embarrassment. A lot of those influencers are/were rightfully pissed. DC Draino gets blasted relentlessly with every post.

Such a bush league spectacle. Completely unnecessary too.

Bondi is this girl...change my mind...

I believe Bondi said last week that she "misspoke" regarding the list being on her desk and said she was referring to the files / evidence and not a specific list.

Now did she misspeak, mislead, blundered... who knows. But she did make the clarification.

This is just one of many conspiracies that have taken on a life of their own due to social media and podcasters. The difference in the last few years is you now have politicians grabbing on to them because their voters like to believe them. Trump has certainly been a participant as have many others from both sides.

So let's say Epstein and Ghislaine had no clients and it was all made up. Still shame on Trump, Bondi etc. for peddling it for political gain. That's what trash liberals do.

That's what the majority of politicians do. Republicans are just as bad. The problem is, everyone blindly follows their own party and blames the other for everything. When we all realize they're all corrupt and all change their mind to benefit themselves, this country will be a much more peaceful place to exist.

No, she was deliberately misleading back in March and to argue otherwise is disingenuous. She could've "clarified" her statement then and only did it now because people are angry and rightfully calling the administration out.

This is different though. Steven King (hhhates Trump with a passion) is defending Trump admin on this one. Leftists, who criticized Trump over everything from how he fed koi fish in Japan to...well...literally every single thing...are silent on this. While it is THE RIGHT who is blasting Trump and team relentlessly.

One side at least has principles.

But it is crazy that the left is not taking this opportunity to pounce all over Trump for hyping up the list and Epstein stuff only to chastise people for bringing it up a f ew months later.

She doesn't say. Presume what you will, I suppose. The question was the list. The context was the evidence. Which was she referring to?

She quite literally replied directly to a question specifically about the list. There's no presumption of anything here, not even remotely.

I'm out on this one, but...

this thread is enlightening. I have learned that conservatives will spin, obfuscate, and gaslight when it comes to protecting their team, no different than libs. Disappointing.

Unfortunately, I learned this some time ago; However, this thread certainly serves to reinforce that lesson.

I see a lot of people wanting to interpret it as the list, when again, Bondi never said "the client list" was on her desk. She said it, and did not give a narrow context for what that "it" was specifically.

Presumptions based on confirmation bias strikes again.

And yes, this is entirely Bondi's fault for not being clear and specific and for allowing her vague answer to imply she had whatever snyone might presume "it" to be.

Epstein being a creep is no hoax. The jury is still out on if he was an extortionist working for some Intel agency, which appears to be the current conspiracy theory: it very well could be a hopeful delusion of those who resent powerful corruption but because the circumstances are so suspicious and you can't disprove the theory for the same reason you can't prove it, people will believe it, and that means people will also exploit that belief.

The question was, "The DOJ may release the list of Jeffrey Epstein's clients. Will that really happen?"

Yes, it is vague. It is not the same as replying "the client list is on my desk", when it could plausibly also mean the totality of all the Epstein evidence that exists, that being the larger context of the media exchange.

This could be as dopey as Bondi presuming it exists amongst all the evidence without actually knowing at the time of the conference one way or the other.

How does it prove your point? The right is not "blindly following their own party" here. And, for once, neither is the left. The left routinely crucifies Trump over much less, and not a peep on this Epstein boondoggle. But a large % of Trump supporters on the right are very angry and openly expressing it.

No, she was deliberately misleading back in March and to argue otherwise is disingenuous. She could've "clarified" her statement then and only did it now because people are angry and rightfully calling the administration out.

Then you should call her and let her know she is a ******* liar and should apologize then resign in disgrace.

I get you have your OPINION on what happened, but its quite the leap to say she was deliberately misleading. If anything, my OPINION is that she gets caught up in the moment and doesn't process the question and appropriate response during these moments of excitement.

She is not who I would have as AG - and I think her days are numbered. Maybe she lasts until 6 months, maybe until a year, or maybe she "misspeaks" again and its game over.

I am just not inclined to crucify her over her statement on Epstein files.

Zero chance this poster knows that she was "deliberately misleading back in March."

I just watch the President say, live from the White House, that Epstein died 3/4 years ago, suggesting it was the Democrats perpetrating a hoax. He doesn't get it. The Democrats have nothing to do with perpetrating any hoax. The man was arrested and died in prison during President Trump's first term, not 3/4 years ago.

How is it goal tending to ask for facts rather than opinions? I have been very consistent on this across all boards for decades. The premium board is more guilty of this than the political board. IMO.

He is on now with the Bahrain dude and fielding questions by the press. Of course, Epstein is brought up.

As indicated in prior posts, the issue with just releasing a huge file dump is that Wray, Comey and the other Obama led DOJ guys spent years supplementing files with false, inaccurate, misleading information on various people to the point it becomes a very arduous task to sort fact from fiction.

Its a similar scenario regarding the Jan 6th pardons, It became impossible to go case by case and sort out truly bad behaviors from cases involving granny MAGA taking a selfie with buffalo shaman.

If you listen to what Trump says, he is telling you the above and then summarizing it as a "hoax". Its not the best term to use here but it is consistent with what he calls Dem created misinformation on their enemies.

If that is all you heard then you only listened to one quip that supports your myopic view of what he was discussing.

Fact: The FBI and DOJ have been thoroughly exposed as being political motivated against Trump for the past 10+ years, and yes that includes Trump 1.0.

The hoax is that the masses were led to believe that there was a set of files that were reliable that exposed the depth of Epstein pedo program. And after further review, the assessment was that its a big steaming pile of doodoo. And to file dump a bunch of potentially false or fabricated information would be responsible.

Now, I have no idea if that is actually the case, but recent history suggests this was how the FBI has been operating. See Steele dossier, Jan 6th, targeting of Christians, etc. So I am inclined to believe that it actually is the case.

Man give it a rest. Trump is part of the "deep state", maybe not to the extent of other polished politicians, but he is no different than the ones you're describing. The handling and messaging on this Epstein ordeal cost him not all, but the majority of his credibility with his base which is mostly made up of reasonable American people.

I applaud you that you're able to believe in the President so much that you think he is on your team, but he is not and has never been. He is Team Trump, which is okay, so is every other high level politician and business person. But this constant goaltending and justification from both sides in defense of their chosen Actor (which is what every politician is) is the reason we are in the mess that we are in as a Country.

I shared my thoughts on what is going on. You call it goaltending because a different perspective is not reaffirming to your position and it causes you anxiety. I get it, its a common trait of folks who refuse to accept reality.

I think there is more to be learned on Epstein and that there are many many questions to be answered. But the level of mouth foaming by people still wanting to "get Trump" is what is truly pathetic.
