No doubt. I may have been a little rich with some of my hyperbole today, but if you give anyone an inch they will take a mile.

And if they see an opportunity to take a good guy out, they do not hesitate.

Whoever leads the good guys in 2028 is going to have to be every bit as resilient as Trump.

Would you like to kick inflation into high gear? If so, this is a blueprint on how you do it.

There betting on more homes than buyers as they deport illegals. Picture a buyers market with low rates!!!

good Trump!

but no one to build the new houses.

Maybe the H1-Bs will be more desperate...

You do not want the typical H1-B anywhere near residential construction.

Th $1776 gift payment to the soldiers was actually swiped from a Congressionally approved fund to support housing subsidies for soldiers. These crooks, man. It's awful.

Or there could be truth and accuracy in reporting, but why bother with that.

Government budgets work on appropriations and allocated funds and budgets and all that nonsense. They are not setup for mid-cycle expenditures without going through the legislative and appropriations process to re-appropriate the money. Not completely different than Biden using different pots of money to pay off student loans of rich white lib kids and their gender studies degrees.

The money is being drawn from the housing assistance program… temporarily. Tariffs revenue will be used to repay the housing assistance program which will happen in the next budgeting process.

At that point, Dems and their friends Massie and Randy can decide not to use the tariff revenue to replenish the housing assistance program.

But this is not the sleight of hand you desire it to be.

These are desperate times for MAGA. Buying votes through checks is pretty desperate. Esp when you are stealing from the same people you just paid.

Never mind that there is the very strong possibility that the corrupt MAGA SCOTUS might actually rule that Trump broke the law (which he obviously did) in implementing all these tariffs. In which case there may be no tariff money to dole out as he pleases, like his own personal slush fund.

What a racket. Tax the American people by arbitrarily imposing tariffs against the law, and then use that money to curry favors and votes.

There's still a big gap between what Trump is claiming and how consumers see it according to ongoing consumer surveys. It's not unusual for the political message to focus on perceived positives. That's what politicians do, of all stripes. The gap isn't a big deal right now but will be a huge factor if it still exists come the 2026 midterms.
Quote:

Consumer sentiment shows 'substantial decline' from last year amid higher prices, tough job market.

Americans are heading into the holidays feeling worse about jobs and inflation than they did this time last year, with consumer sentiment hovering near record lows.

"Consumers are loud and clear that they believe that the outlook for the economy has soured quite a bit since the beginning of the year."

Though the University of Michigan's final reading of consumer sentiment for December showed a modest improvement of 1.9 points from November, the overall index remains 28.5% lower than it was a year ago at 52.9.

It took some time for a thorough analysis of Trump's speech. Here is it. But, Trump does not like free press, the AP or PBS. He's worked to destroy it, because all information must come from his propaganda machine.

If you call it fake news or biased MSM, you didn't listen or you only want to hear from Trump propaganda.

LOL. Same people who assured us Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation and about 5,000 other lies about Trump.

Don't forget, they admitted they lied extensively about him and agreed to fund his library to the tune of millions of dollars to avoid his libel suits.

I'll pass.

Oh there's a propaganda machine no doubt, but it doesn't belong to Trump. I doubt if you could open the newsfeed app (like Google News that I use upon occasion) of your choice and find anything positive about Trump. Go ahead and try.

Are those enough to convince people their lives are better to the point they'd vote for more of it in eleven months? Probably not.

Then WTF would it take for you?

More things that affect the majority of people's everyday lives.

I'm fine waiting for things to pan out, but I'm not the masses who actually thought, and needed, the price of things they buy at the grocery and big box stores to come down. I'm not the one who needs gas prices to go back down to first administration level gas prices, etc.

Time will tell. I'm just saying that this isn't really much to crow about, especially if I'm thinking in terms of future election prospects

Cheaper gas, lower taxes, and a closed border drastically reducing crime don't affect the majority of people's everyday lives?

They do.

Will that alone be enough to give the GOP wins in the next two elections? Not likely.

And what exactly are you basing this off of?

If he ends up being right, it will only be because we have reached a critical mass of stupid uninformed people in this country.

More like "MIS-informed" -- by one of the most criminal institutions this side of the drug peddling -- the MSM.

A year into his presidency and he's still campaigning. At what point will our President quit the blame game and start leading?

Are you being sarcastic?
President Trump isn't campaigning. The main stream news media has ignored the accomplishments of this Administration made in the last 11 months and routinely lied about this Administration. I'm looking at you ABC, NBC and CBS, as you peddle the bull**** narrative of the Democratic Party leadership that continues to move
more and more leftist progressive. Goodbye Chokey Schumer as you are replaced by the complete idiot AOC.
What President Trump did was rope the MSM into allowing President Trump to counter their total denial of the accomplishments made in the previous 11 months.

I like all of it. Everything that he listed . I just think the speech was ineffective and rambling and missed an opportunity to convince people who aren't like me to support him. That's it.

Okay, fair enough. What would your speech have been?

If that is all he had to say then NOT having a prime time address to the nation is the correct choice.

A prime time address should be reserved for either a significant announcement or change in policy

In this case it was to inform the mational audience of facts the MSM has ignored or lied about.
