Y'all are worried about "No Kings" Trump? Come and look at the city and state for yourself and see what Gavin has done, in his 30 year political career, from the San Francisco board of Supervisors, to Mayor, lieutenant governor, then governor of California.

Aside from people and businesses leaving the state altogether, liberals, afraid to raise their families in blue counties, are moving eastward and flooding places like the red counties where I live, and no Republicans I know have wavered in their support of Trump (anecdotal evidence of course, but much more than the conjecture that Trump is cooked).

He was right there about the irony, imho. And Trump, nor Jimmy Carter, nor Obama were the first Presidents to invoke biblical messages/passages in their speeches/imagery in office. George Washington was that guy. Heck, even notorious bigot progressive democrat Woodrow Wilson invoked parts of his devoutly held Christian theology/scripture, though in office he separated the two spheres, perhaps to his/the world's detriment.

Trying to see the world through the eyes/prism of a Christian faith/man is not something Trump deserves to be blasted for, imho, though I again think this attempt was...well, poorly framed as such.

To try and paint himself as some kind of divine savior of this country is just crazy. He's a human being, just like all of us. He has a massive job to do. Posting garbage like this is a distraction at best. One he cannot afford, particularly since he's got limited time to work with. Thx, and I don't think you are wrong I just don't think he was comparing himself to Christ in what I saw posted earlier (the speech with the pastors), but rather noting the irony of the timing of the lawfare award against him vs. Easter per the letter he'd received. He has commonly pointed out the 'they aren't after me, I'm just in the way' memes regarding 'his' voters and the lawfare, which I do think is understandably infuriating to him (of course this can naturally translate to an Easter message to many on a surface level). I again don't think it was anything approaching a tasteful image/message to post, but have had similar critiques of other politicians posts/imagery in the past as well.

Frankly, if I thought Trump was particularly religious in his studies/practices I'd expect he'd have some appreciation more of Billy Graham's style of revivals/beliefs etc given his mannerisms/preference for rallies. But I strongly doubt that is the case.
