They did it once and learned their lesson. Cut them some slack

Beat the game with RR last night. Now what? Side quests until the end of time?!

Start over? Try not doing any perks and only rely on what you find. Maybe max SPECIALs and choose one perk each. Only use the pistol you find in vault 111. Do every achievement. List goes on.

Did I see the video here or Facebook where the guy beat it without killing ANYTHING?

Yep. It glitched a bit, but he pulled it off:

How many freaking minute men missions are there? Is my game glitching or is there a never ending stream of them? I've probably cleared Corvega 4 times
It's Bethesda's neverending "Radiant Quests". Basically don't bother with them unless you just want XP to make your character more godlike. Every faction has its own set of these.

I may have missed it from earlier in the thread, but if not, just discovered an interesting bug/glitch. I've been pickpocketing everyone this playthrough, and just made it onto the BoS airship. Pickpocketed the core of someone in power armor and the NPC exited the suit like normal. After a few more seconds, he put a core back into the armor and stepped inside again. Pick pocketed him again, and lo and behold, a new core.

What I really want to know is why Dr. Sun in Diamond City has an Chinese accent and persuasion. Either there's a local community of Chinese families that have kept their language intact for 200+ years and he ventured out on his own, or he travelled from China as a young boy (somehow seems unlikely).

Both seem like they could really have neat back stories given the Great War with China.

If there has ever been a need for some great backstories in novel form it is the Fallout franchise. I have no idea why Bethesda has not teamed up with great sci-fi writers like Dan Abnett to pump out some lore books. I'd snap them up in a heartbeat.

Me too, I wanna hear about the battle of Anchorage, and the super mutants being thrown back at the wall by the minute men.

Some backstory regarding what chain of events led to global thermonuclear war would be cool too

Mine was probably 15X20 or something close with two levels. I made it at the drive in with one side being the screen. I had to do the trick with the workshop to lower the size limit.

to better my understanding of settlements/settlers....

what are some ways you can "automate" revenue and materials generation?

building trade kiosks is a handy place to sell your stuff, and they'll generate caps in the workshop (not a ton, but something). I like to use the water purifiers as a revenue source as well, i've got 5 of them working at the drive-in, and i'll have 40 or so purified waters waiting for me when I come back, which you can sell for around 500 or so.

Get some Brahmin and use the fertilizer they produce to make jet.

Slangin jet sells way more than water does.

If you have the chemist perk, jet fuel is even better.

If you have the time you can sell the jet to some addict (75 caps ea) in vault 84.

Did anyone get the breathe underwater perk? I'm considering getting it, then treasure hunting underwater.

I would think it's a waste considering how hard it is to see underwater.

Is there a glitch in using stuff you've found to decorate? Things like Pitchers, Pluggers, Vases with flowers...... I've used stuff like that but its always knocked over or moved when I come back.

It was one of the first perks I got. Not getting Rads from the water is nice enough, but a few missions are made much easier with it as well.

I have the no rads in water but haven't upgraded to breathe in water yet. I just didn't want to have to walk all the way around the bay from the Castle to Lucky Clover Fish Packing or whatever it was.

The only cool things I've found under water is a suit of power armor, and a submarine with a quest. Only reason I found the sub was a kid fishing on a dock wanted me to attack the monster he sees. Found the armor with the Fallout map.

I'm not sure how in the heck there's a child who is alive on his own about 200 feet from a group of raiders.

I found a kid in a refrigerator somewhere and then a couple of minutes later a dude walks up and asks if I want to sell him the kid.

You can scrap weapons at a weapons workbench or you can put them in a regular workbench and when you need their materials to build something the game will auto-scrap them.

Place clothing in a workbench - same as above.

Note that the benches you use have to be in the same settlement to use the shared resources.

I know junk can be used across benches in different settlements with supply lines, but do not know about other stuff (aid, apparel, weapons, ammo, etc.)
