You would be correct, though it won't be high rises. More like mid-rises. I know the developers working on it, but it just takes time to secure all the dirt the project needs, and they're currently working on other developments so no idea on the timeline. I would assume they might be waiting on the George Bush/Wellborn intersection work to be done. If that's the case, none of us may be alive to see it

For anyone interested, BCS now has a Community Impact and they sent out their first email this morning. It's good for coming and going stuff. The one in my area I've been on the email list for several years and I think it's worth it.

It may have already been discussed, but what's going up on Longmire between Rock Prairie and Deacon? Next to the Mason library

There's a Wendy's at Wm J Bryan and 6 in Bryan. It's very close to the bypass.

Maybe do the construction so you are ready to go the fall after the GB/W completes. Maybe push that the 2 falls after anticipatingGB/W to go over.

Texas A&M's new High-Performance AI Supercomputer called VISION should be fully operational in March.

Located at the West Campus Data Center and should be one of the top AI supercomputers in the country for an Academic Institution.

Tripling the A&M System's previous supercomputing capacity, VISION, a NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD, provides high-performance supercomputing designed for state-of-the-art infrastructure for GPU-based workloads

Sprouts applied for a permit on Feb 10 for $3.6 million worth of renovation work on the site they are opening. Not sure why the Now Leasing sign is up, however.

The leasing company still advertising to fish for calls, while the contractors don't bother to take it down?

That's my guess.

Same address as 1775 Barbecue. Interesting.

ETA: I presume it will be one of the other suites in the same building.

Anyone know anything about the proposed gas station at Greens Prairie and Royder? I saw surveyors out there a while back, and Oldham Goodwin put "coming soon" on their sign, but nothing in the last year or so.

There is a zoning change request pending with College Station to allow for the old Applebees location change from general commercial to mixed use development. The plan is to tear the Applebees down and construct a new six-story Hampton Inn (design below). I am guessing the existing Hampton Inn just a couple of doors down would then be sold or torn down.

That's much smaller than the existing Hampton Inn pad, though similar in size to the Best Western across the street.

Anyone have an update on La Madeliene? I saw something on Facebook that they were waiting on lease terms negotiations for location at Highway 6 and Rock Prairie? No longer Zaxbys location?

I saw that too. I am trying to think of a space in that area that would be suited for a LM.

Smaller footprint, but similar number of rooms. The new one calls for 120 rooms and the current one a couple of doors down is 133 rooms.

They aren't going to buy a defunct business location. That would be a poor use of public funds.

At least they haven't given away city land for free to a movie theater corporation and promise to foot the bill as they run off leaving a half painted concrete building.

In other news, College Station has signed off on a new gas station at the southwest corner of Luther and 2818. I don't know the brand. I'm hoping for a Casey's, personally, but I'll wait until they announce the plans for the Snook store.

Thank goodness!

There's not another gas station/store for at least *checks Google maps* 3/4 of a mile!

Yeah, on the wrong side of the road. I think I'd like a gas station on 2818 where I don't have to go through four stoplights.

Didn't give away city land, it was a ground lease. So worst case is the city owns it. But Bryan's unused movie bowl and grill cost the city ($0?) less than College Stations unused Macy's (millions).

Wonder which one will sit unused longer.

My understanding is Luther, on that side of 2818, is owned by TAMU and has historically not entertained allowing access to a private developer.

Any info on whether the proposed gas station has Luther access, or is it only going to be accessed off 2818?

According to the Building Permits Issued list, it is listed as 1210 Harvey Mitchell Parkway South, which is on Loopnet. I don't think this particular plot was ever owned by TAMU.

But according to the CAD, TAMU does own a small strip fronting 2818 between the subject track and 2818
