If you're able, and already have a free pass to work from home, just do it.

You get to save the commute time and sleep in and drink earlier at the end of the day.

A dry wind during the night/day can also help dry off the roads

We're scheduled for 10am start tomorrow morning. May push it out an hour depending on how it looks in the morning.

For now, I'm just going to assume the roads will ice over night/early morning and box trucks will be in enough of a hurry to cause problems. Glad I don't really need to go anywhere, though it would be nice.

I just wish it was this dry non humid cold all the time instead of our wet cold we always get. This feels like Utah outside. Amazing

lol blizzard conditions. It won't even be below freezing for more than half a day. A BLIZZARD

You smokin' crack?

Pearland goes below freezing tomorrow night and stays there through Thursday AM…

Now I don't know about any blizzard, but your temp data is wrong…

Everywhere I look, I'm seeing high temps of 40, 38, 42 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Are those wrong?

lol yes…they aren't factoring in snow pack…

The snow will greatly reduce temps below what they are showing…at least 5 degrees if not more…

What a colossal fail of a post.

Doubt it. Posters is a troll who wouldn't hesitate to jump in the second someone posted a forecast or a tweet showing the storm shifted and we wouldn't get snow.

The most snow Houston has received since 1960. Nope, not at all noteworthy.

So did Galveston end up with blizzard like conditions?
I know they said it wouldn't reach the technical criteria of a blizzard but there could be aspects of it.

We got 5" to 6" at my house in the Heights. This whole thing made me so happy for all those folks whose kids and pets got to play in snow for the first time. It was a real joy to see how excited all the neighbor kids were. We need more happiness like that in the world, if even for a day.

Yes this was exactly what I was hoping for, really glad for a ton of people to have a "good" major weather event for once in an area that has had way too much bad in the last decade.
